On the third floor of the building, Rudra stopped in front of a door. Taking a deep breath, he rang the doorbell. Within moments, the door opened, and a woman who appeared to be around forty stood there.
Seeing Rudra, the woman smiled. "Mr. Rudra, you are here? Come in, please..." she said, stepping aside to let him in. Rudra, without uttering a word, walked inside.
The house wasn't very fancy, but it had everything that was necessary to live simple and good life. The arrangement and the color of the place had a calming vibe that could make anyone feel at peace instantly. Rudra sat in the guest room.
Shortly after, the same woman placed a glass of water in front of him and said, "Looking at your face, it seems like you've improved quite a bit?" She said while taking a seat.
Rudra looked at the glass, then at the woman sitting in front of him. "Mn"
"Glad to hear that," the woman smiled softly.
"Are you sleeping better? Do those dreams still haunt you? " She enquired more.
"Mn," Rudra replied, sipping the water, without even looking at the woman once.
"You should try to interact more with people around you, trust them a little, and let them come close to you."
"I don't need anyone," Rudra replied in a cold voice.
The woman sighed deeply and looked at Rudra with disbelief. "Mr. Rudra, the problem is you keep everything bottled up inside. Everyone needs someone; it doesn't make you weak or foolish. When you talk to someone or try to know them, it doesn't necessarily mean you have an ulterior motive. Conversations don't always have to revolve around needs."
Rudra looked at her with a strange expression, as if he wanted to say, "This is all nonsense, and nothing but a waste of time. No one ever talks to anyone without a reason or motive behind it."
Seems like the woman understood what must be going inside rudra,"Mr. Rudra, I'm your psychologist, and you should follow my advice. Your friend Prem seems quite trustworthy, and your elder brother Rajeev Oberoi is also more than willing to help you," the doctor explained calmly, trying to make Rudra understand.
"I'm fine now. I don't think I need to continue these sessions," Rudra said, emotionless and cold voice.
"Your course isn't complete yet. You should keep coming until you're fully healed," the psychologist suggested calmly.
Rudra didn't respond, but his expression clearly showed he didn't want to come back. Both were silent for a moment, wondering in their thoughts.
She glanced at Rudra for a second then asked"Can I know whom you've met recently, and what you've been doing?"
"You want to know about the sudden change in me? " Rudra fixed his gaze on the doctor. His face was poker yet you can see he was unwilling to go with the session any more.
"Yes."
"There's someone... someone I always tried to avoid, suddenly we get parted but now that we've met again, I've decided to stay around them as much as I can. I don't know how long we have, but I no longer want to hide in the dark or turn away from the truth. I have decided to stay with them and take the happiness of my part." Finishing the his answer, Rudra curiously gazed at the woman to know his opinion about his decision.
The doctor listened to him carefully, then asked, "Is this the same person you met back in college?"
"Mn."
