Ex-lovers. Office rivals. A love that never truly ended.
Jisoo's fresh start turns into a nightmare when she realizes her new boss is Tae-her cold, ruthless ex. Their office becomes a battlefield of stolen glances, sharp words, and unresolved emotio...
The office buzzed with excitement as everyone rushed to wrap up work. Tonight marked the start of the much-anticipated field trip for the Fashion Decor project. All major departments were involved—Creative, Management, and Finance. Teams had been finalised, roles assigned, and three separate vehicles were ready to leave by 6:30 PM sharp.
Team Lineup:
Creative Team: Head - Lisa; Members - Jungkook, Sooyoung, Eunbi
Management Team: Head - Taehyung; Members - Jisoo, Hyun, Nari
Finance Team: Head - Minyuk; Members - Jihoon, Rina, Haejin
The plan was simple. Drive through the night, reach the countryside by morning, and set up base for the three-day fashion shoot and strategy camp. Everything was perfectly timed—except for what was about to happen.
Jisoo had gone to the restroom just ten minutes before departure. She was supposed to meet her team at the parking area, but someone had other plans. As she washed her hands, the lights flickered subtly. She thought it was just a glitch. But when she tried to exit, the handle wouldn’t budge.
Panic set in quickly. She knocked. Then banged. No answer. Her phone and bag were still at her desk. She was locked in—with no way out.
Meanwhile, everyone else had left. The cars rolled out smoothly, laughter and music echoing as they vanished down the main road.
Taehyung had stayed back. His flight was scheduled for the next morning via the company helicopter. He was supposed to leave directly from the office helipad.
As he walked past the empty workstations, something caught his eye—Jisoo’s bag, lying unattended on her desk. His brows furrowed. She should’ve left with her team. He approached her desk and noticed a note—
"I am nearby..."
His heart skipped a beat. It wasn’t like Jisoo to leave cryptic notes.
"Jisoo?" he called, walking through the hallway. No answer.
A faint knock. A muffled voice.
He followed the sound to the women’s restroom and heard her. “Taehyung?” she cried from the other side.
He didn’t hesitate. He rushed to the security panel, grabbed the emergency key, and unlocked the door.

There she was—disheveled, teary-eyed, panic in her breath. She ran into his arms without thinking. He held her tightly, whispering, “You’re safe now. It’s okay.”
He took her to his office. Sat her down on the couch. Gave her tissues, water, even his coat.
She was still shaking.
“Someone did it on purpose,” she whispered.
His expression darkened. “Don’t worry. We’ll figure it out.”
