You were almost late to your class. This building was so damn big and the internet was so terrible you couldn't load the map on your phone. You found the room number listed on your schedule only a minute before class started.
Quietly slipping in through the door into the back of the classroom, a sigh of relief left your lips as you couldn't spot the professor. She must have gotten lost in the maze of hallways just as you had.
You scanned the room looking for a familiar face, and low and behold there was someone you recognized. When you spot his red bandana, your palms get sweaty. He had his arms folded and head layed down on top of them. Maybe he was sleeping? So he wouldn't notice if you took the seat beside him right? Every seat surrounding him was empty so you assumed he wasn't saving it for someone else.
You carefully pulled the seat back, so as to not wake him, and seated yourself beside him.
He smelled so good. Was it berries?
He lifted his head and noticed you.You hand freezes on the already pulled out chair and looks at him for a second.
"Sorry! We met during orientation week. I was the girl who borrowed your pen, I never got to introduce myself though. Um, I'm Y/N. Is someone sitting here?"
Woah I must've gotten the wrong order because I didn't ask for a yappachino. He looked away and made some kind of noise before shaking his head no.
You internally sigh in relief and sit down, placing your bag behind your chair. "Soo.. what's your name?"
"..Aaron."
"Nice to meet ya," You offer your hand to shake to which he stared at. He looked away without taking your hand, leaving you awkwardly having your hand in the air. You let out an awkward laugh and pull it back.He mumbled something under his breath, but you couldn't catch it. You leaned in slightly.
"What was that?"
"N-Nothing." he replied, as he turned his head further away from you, hiding the slight tint of pink appearing on his cheeks. Shocked was an understatement. Aaron.exe stopped working when you sat beside him. There were plenty of open seats around him, but yet you chose to sit right next to him.
The professor finally arrived and throughout the entire class you and Bandana guy never spoke another word to each other. You were a little happy that he wasn't the conversational type, but you figured maybe he wasn't used to people approaching him purely based on how he reacts to you. But It was a little obvious actually, as the whole row next to him was vacant.
When class finally ended Aaron was the first one to leave.

Her bubbly energy was exactly what you needed that morning. She talked non-stop before class started, about baking and sweets, her favorite pastel highlighters, and some guy she had a minor crush on, but the second the lecture began, she switched into study mode. She wasn't so focused on writing everything the professor said, she put more of his effort into carefully color coding each note with his sparkly gel pens, making each page as flashy as possible.
When class ended, she packed up in record time.
"My next class is across campus, gotta run! Byeee!" she called out, already halfway to the door.
You waved back, and turned to your other new friend—someone from that class who didn't have anything else until later. He offered to help you find your next room, which you appreciated more than you let on.
