"Here. Eat this and stop being annoying."
You catch the snack mid-air with both hands, suddenly perking up like a puppy. "You do love me!"
"Debatable," she mutters, sitting back down.
Still, you happily munch away, feeling just a little bit better.
You're lying across Aphmau's bed, dramatically flopping your arms around like a fish out of water.
"I'm so bored," you groan, staring up at the ceiling. "Why do Saturdays feel like purgatory when you don't have a roommate to entertain you?"
Aphmau looks up from her notebook, amused. "You are my roommate right now."
"I'm a guest," you say, rolling onto your stomach. "Guests are supposed to be entertained."
She snorts. "You sound like Tera."
You grin. "Thank you. I'll take that as a compliment."
Aphmau closes her Laptop and stretches, finally caving to your boredom. "Okay okay, small talk time. Let's see... Oh! Remember Jenny from Orientation? She invited me to go to the movies with a few of her friends and said I could bring an extra or two. Wanna come?"
You perk up instantly. "Wait, seriously?"
She shrugs. "I mean, if you don't wanna.."
You sit up, brushing hair out of your face. "Count me in. I need to get out of here."
"We've only been here for two weeks" She said in a flat tone.
"Break me free from these chains!!" You cry out dramatically, making her laugh.
She throws a pillow at you, laughing. "Okay, okay! Drama queen. I'll tell Jenny you're coming."
You catch the pillow and hug it to your chest.

Class had started 20 minutes ago and Aaron still wasn't here. You usually get there earlier than him but he was never this late. As the professor launched into her presentation, your eyes kept drifting toward the door. You couldn't help but feel worried for some reason. You didn't want him to miss any crucial information that'll be on the test.
Aaron always took careful, organized notes. Today's lesson was a little complex, and you were actually excited to try out the new sparkle pens Kawaii~Chan had gifted you. You glanced at the empty seat beside you, then down at your blank notebook.
...Maybe I could take notes for him?
Your handwriting was pretty neat, and your notes always looked like something out of a Pinterest board, maybe that would help. You shuffled through your pencil bag, debating which colors to use. He seemed like a red kind of guy. Confident. Bold. Okay definitely not those two things but Bandana and all. Or maybe you were just overthinking pen colors for a boy who barely talked to you.
Still, you smiled faintly as you clicked the red pen.
By the time the lecture wrapped up, you stared down at the pages in front of you, genuinely impressed with yourself. The notes you'd made for Aaron were borderline art. Yours, on the other hand... were a mess of rushed lines and half-written thoughts.
You sighed and gently slid his notes into a separate folder in your bag, tucking them away.

"Ooh okiiee"
"N/n-Chan is usually so good about finishing your notes in class""Maybe she was distracted? ;)"
"NO"
"I was too focused on taking notes for someone"
"He was absent so I thought I'd be nice"
"Y/n-chan is too good for this world😞"
"WAIT HE??"
"Ooooh does Kawaii-Chan know this he?👀"
"STOPP"
"Its not like that!!!!"
"And no i dont think you know him,,"
"suuree whatever y/n-chan sayyys🥰"
Kawaii Chan always gave you a hard time, but she was like this with everyone. Always trying to play matchmaker. She was kind of friend who, if you mentioned you thought someone was cute they'd go up to them and see if they were single. It was incredibly embarrassing but quite entertaining when they were focused on someone besides you.—
A wave of relief washed over you when Aaron sat beside you In class. Thank Irene, he didn't die.
"Good morning! I'm glad you're back, were you sick?"
The caring tone in your voice made his chest ache. "..No, I'm fine."
Your eyes slightly widen at his full non mumbling response before you straighten up.
"Well," you say as you begin shuffling through your backpack and pulling out the immaculate set of notes you were oh so proud of, "I took notes for you, we started a new chapter on Monday." As you handed him the pages, your warm smile sent shivers down his spine."What?" his voice barely above a whisper, "You didn't have to do this..." He admires the obvious care that you had put into making them.
"It was really no trouble at all," you say waving your hands in front of you, "Besides, I wanted an excuse to use my new gel pens..." You watch intently as he thumbs through the pages. Damn, why did you take so many notes? There were at least eight pages here.
"Literary History too?" he mumbles, "I didn't know you were in that class." He pretended like he didn't know. He'd feel bad now that you went out of your way to make his life a little easier.
"Thanks," he looks up and his glowing eyes lock on yours, and he flashes you the tiniest smile. Wow two firsts in one day? Aaron had never looked you in the eyes, let alone smile at you.
"No problem," you were so giddy you couldn't hide your smile, so you tried your best to immerse yourself in the lesson.
