Avika: Yeh chest pain ek din hmara jaan lega, [This chest pain will take my life one day] she mumbled to herself, her voice tinged with frustration.
With a gentle smile, Avika picked up her dupatta and wrapped it around her shoulders. She rushed down the stairs, her feet barely touching the steps. As she stepped out into the bright sunlight, the cool breeze carried the scent of blooming flowers. She walked briskly, her heart still heavy with emotions. The temple beckoned, a sanctuary of peace and solace. She quickened her pace, her spirit yearning for the tranquility that awaited her.
Her heart swelled with devotion as she pushed through the crowded temple, her eyes fixed on the majestic idol of Shiv Ji. The air was thick with the scent of incense and the sound of chanting, transporting her to a realm of spiritual solace. She climbed the stairs, her hands clasped together in reverence, her soul yearning for connection.
As she stood before the deity, her eyes welled up with tears. She sank to her knees, her hands joined and eyes closed, pouring her heart out in a silent prayer.
Avika: Shiv Ji, please protect everyone,
she whispered, her voice trembling with emotion.
The world around her melted away, leaving only the gentle hum of the temple and the beating of her heart. Five minutes passed, and Avika rose, her hands extended to receive the blessing. As Pandit Ji applied the sacred tika on her forehead, she felt a surge of peace and tranquility.
With prasad in hand, Avika descended the stairs, her heart filled with gratitude. But her gaze fell upon the temple's steps, where beggars sat with outstretched hands, their eyes pleading for help. A pang of compassion struck her heart.
A small boy, no more than four years old, caught her attention. His large, round eyes sparkled with hunger, and his tiny hands trembled as he asked,
Boy: didi kuch paise de do bhukh lg ri hai [Didi, I'm hungry. Give me some money. ]
Avika's face lit up with a warm, gentle smile as she bent down to his level.
Avika: apko bhukh lg ri? [You're hungry?] she asked softly, her voice filled with empathy.
The boy nodded, and Avika's heart melted. She couldn't bear the thought of this little soul going hungry.
Avika: kya khana hai apko? [What would you like to eat?] she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
Kachori, the boy replied, his voice filled with hope.
Avika's smile broadened, and she nodded enthusiastically.
Avika: ap yaha 5 mins rukiye hum aapke liye khana late haii [Wait here for five minutes. I'll bring you food.] She rushed to the counter, her heart racing with excitement. She purchased a large quantity of kachori and jalebi, the aroma wafting through the air, tantalizing her senses.
As she distributed the food among the beggars, their faces lit up with gratitude. Tears of joy welled up in their eyes, and they blessed her with every bite. Avika's kindness had brought smiles to their faces, and she felt her heart overflow with happiness.
The atmosphere was filled with the sweet scent of jalebi and the sound of happy chatter. Avika's act of kindness had created a ripple effect, spreading joy and warmth throughout the temple. As she watched the beggars savor their food, Avika felt a deep sense of satisfaction, knowing she had made a difference in their lives.
