He, who is suffering from multiple personality disor...
Suddenly, I heard the door open, and Jungkook walked in. He looked different from how I remembered him. His eyes seemed more intense, and his expression was cold.
I felt a surge of nervousness as he approached me. But as he sat down across from me, I saw something in his eyes that gave me hope. A glimmer of uncertainty, a hint of vulnerability.
And in that moment, I knew I had to take a chance. I had to try and connect with him, to see if I could take away his pain.
....................
The maids scurried around, serving him coffee and serving him the breakfast. After sometime, when he was done. Jin hyun approached....
He stood by the door, watching Jungkook with a keen eye. "Sir, your car is ready," he said, his voice low and respectful.
Jungkook nodded, his expression unreadable. "I'll be late," he said, his voice cold and detached.
I nodded, feeling a pang of disappointment that he didn't address me directly. Jungkook turned to leave, Jin Hyun following closely behind.
As they reached the door, Jungkook paused, his eyes flicking to me for a moment before looking away. "Take care," he said curtly, before turning and walking out.
I watched him go, feeling a mix of emotions. Despite his cold exterior, I sensed a depth to Jungkook that I couldn't quite reach.
I smiled weakly, feeling a mix of emotions. The maids began clearing my table, and I realized I was left alone in the grand dining room, wondering what the future held for me and the cold CEO, who was now my husband.
As the maids finished clearing the table, I sat there lost in thought, my mind wandering to the unexpected turn of events that had led me to become Jungkook's wife. The silence in the mansion was almost deafening, and I felt a sense of isolation despite being surrounded by people.
One of the maids approached me, breaking the silence. "Ma'am, would you like some more coffee or perhaps some fresh fruit?" she asked, her voice soft and respectful.
I smiled weakly, appreciating her kindness. "No, thank you. I'm fine. But is there any work for which I can help.."
" Ah.. um. No Mam you are our sir's wife, we can't let you do any household work.. " she said, leaving no words to argue.. making me sighed
" ok fine but i request you to call me YN.. please.. you seem older than me" i said, the maid nodded with hesitation but smiled back. "Ok YN, If you need anything, please don't hesitate to call us." As she walked away...
I sat in the grand living hall, surrounded by opulent decor and lavish furnishings, feeling a bit out of place. My phone vibrated, breaking the silence. I glanced at the screen and smiled, seeing Rachel's name flashing.
"Hey, Rachel What's up?" I answered, trying to sound casual despite the whirlwind of events from the past day.
Rachel's voice was laced with concern on the other end. "Hey, girl! Where are you? You didn't show up to class today. Everything okay?"
I hesitated, unsure how much to reveal. "Hey, Rachel, it's a long story. Can we catch up in person? Meet me at the cafe near campus?"
Rachel agreed, and we made plans to meet. As I hung up, I felt a pang of guilt for not being able to share the truth about my sudden marriage. But I wasn't ready to face the questions and reactions that would come with it. Yet.
I walked up to one of the maids and smiled. "I'm heading out to meet a friend You don't have to make lunch for me "
The maid nodded and hurried off to inform the staff. However, before I could make a move, a guard approached me.
" Good morning, Ma'am, I'm leo.. one the trusted guard of Mr jeon.. and now your personal guard " he completed, making me stunned.. Coming from a middle-class background, I'm likely not used to the opulence and grandeur that comes with being married to Jungkook.
It took me a moment to reply but i only just nodded... " Ah.. leo. I'm heading out to meet my friend.. so I'm going "
" I need to accompany you, i can't let you go alone" he said, his expression firm but polite.
I hesitated, not wanting to be followed. "It's okay, leo. I'm just meeting a friend at a nearby cafe."
But leo was unwavering. "I apologize, ma'am. Mr. Jungkook's instructions are clear. You are to have security with you at all times."
He pulled out his phone and dialed a number. After a brief conversation, he hung up and looked at me. "Mr. Jungkook is aware. The car is ready. Let's go."
I sighed, realizing I wouldn't be going alone. Leo and another guard accompanied me to the car, and we headed to the cafe to meet Rachel.
I stepped out of the luxurious car and onto the sidewalk, leo and the other guard following closely behind. Rachel's eyes widened in shock as she took in the scene.
She looked at me, then at the guards, and back at me again. "Uh, what's going on?" she asked, her voice laced with confusion.
I smiled weakly, feeling a bit self-conscious about the entourage that now accompanied me everywhere. "Let's grab a table, and I'll try to explain," I said, gesturing to the cafe.
Rachel's eyes darted to leo, who was standing discreetly a short distance away. "Are you, like, in witness protection or something?" she whispered.
I chuckled and shook my head. "Nothing that dramatic, I promise."
As we sat down at a table, Rachel leaned in, her eyes sparkling with curiosity. "Spill the beans, girl. What's going on?"
I took a deep breath and began to explain the events of the past day to Rachel. "I was just doing my part-time job, delivering a parcel to one of the guests at a wedding event. But then I bumped into someone and spilled her drink all over my clothes. After cleaning up, I was walking down the hallway when Seok sir stopped me."
Rachel's eyes widened in surprise. "Seok for? You mean the one I've met before.. and for whom you work sometime?"
I nodded. "Yes, that's him. I've known him for years, and I couldn't refuse him when he asked for my help."
Rachel's expression softened. "What did he ask you to do?"
I hesitated, unsure how to break the news. "He asked me to marry his brother jeon Jungkook. His bride ran away, and he needed someone to stand in for the ceremony. I know it sounds crazy, but I couldn't say no to him. He's been like a guardian to me."
Rachel's eyes went wide with shock, and she sat back in her chair, processing the information. "Wait, you're telling me you married Jungkook, the Jeon Jungkook? As in, the CEO of that huge corporation?"
I nodded, feeling a mix of emotions. "Yes, that's the one. And now I'm...his wife."
