It was Sunday, and Tanya was in her room when she heard a knock on the door. She opened it and found her father standing there, looking pale and terrified.
"What happened, Papa?" she asked, worried. "Come downstairs. Quickly," Mr. Sikhawat said, his voice trembling.
Worried, she followed him down the stairs. Her heart was pounding, and each step made the tension grow.
When she reached the living room, she saw her Mumma sitting on the sofa, clutching the edge of her dupatta tightly. Her eyes were filled with fear and helplessness.
"What's going on?" she asked, her voice shaking.
And then...she saw him.
A tall man in a black suit standing near the entrance. Cold. Powerful. Silent.
Shivansh Rajvansh.
Standing beside him was Thorne-calm, intimidating, his icy blue eyes scanning the room.
"What is he doing here?" she whispered, panic rising in my chest.
Mr. Sikhawat turned to her, guilt written all over his face. "Tanya... beta... we need to talk."
Shivansh stepped forward, his deep voice echoing through the room. "There's no need to say much, Mr. Sikhawat. I'm here for what already belongs to me."
His eyes locked onto her-dark, intense, possessive.
She couldn't breathe.
He stepped closer. "Let's go, princess."
"Where? Why should I come with you?" Tanya snapped, her eyes burning with confusion and anger.
Shivansh clenched his jaw, trying to keep his composure. Damn, he thought, she looks like a little tigress right now.
He stepped closer, his voice cold and calm. "Because your father owes me a debt. And in exchange for that debt..." he paused, letting the weight of his words sink in, "...he signed you over to me."
Tanya's breath caught in her throat. She looked at her father, hoping it was a cruel joke-but the guilt in his eyes told her everything she needed to know.
FLASHBACK
Shivansh was sitting in his office, reviewing a file, when his personal assistant walked in.
"Sir," he said carefully, "Mr. Karan Sikhawat has taken the money from our company... and now he's asking for more time to repay it."
"Mr. Karan Sikhawat?" he asked, eyes narrowing. "Is he the father of Tanya Sikhawat?"
His PA nodded. "Yes, sir. Her father works in our financial department."
A slow smirk curled on Shivansh's lips. So fate decided to bring her to me on its own, he thought. He stood up, buttoning his suit jacket.
