I might like to add that in this Victim never became evil because Mitsi never died. Victim and Mitsi appear in this chapter, so enjoy!
———————{YELLOW POV}
We sprinted away from the portal, refusing to look back. I think I saw Red follow us, but I'm unsure. We can't let him catch up.
"What are we doing?" Blue questioned, looking at me as we were running.
"Something... completely stupid," I answered between pants. "Come on... keep running."
And so we did, for about an hour. I couldn't see the portal anymore, and we were in the middle of nowhere, completely lost.
"Great," Blue groaned. "Now what?"
"Mitsi, are you serious? What are we going on a hike in the woods for?"
"Hide!" I whispered. I hid behind a bush and he hid behind a rock. He probably had the better hiding place, but who cares?
"We've been around technology too much, Victim. We need some fresh air once in a while. We're not robots, so come on!"
"Mitsi—!"
Victim? Isn't that the stick figure Alan Becker tortured? I peered out curiously from behind the bush, seeing a female stick figure drag a gray male stick figure through the forest to the clearing where we were hiding.
"You know what Agent said," the female said. Mitsi, right? "Get some fresh air! It's springtime!"
"More like Mitsi-time," said the male whose name I think was Victim.
"Same thing. Hey, what's that?"
She pointed to me, and I hid, only slightly panicking. Blue looked at me with a worried face, ready to spring at them.
"Hey, who are you?" asked Mitsi. Ah, they saw me. Great. "We're not going to hurt you."
"Erm..." I stammered, backing up a bit. "It's pretty easy to tell. I'm Yellow."
"Hi, Yellow! My name is Mitsi, and this is my boyfriend Victim." Mitsi said cheerfully, gesturing to herself and Victim.
"Hey." Victim waved. When seeing I hadn't let my guard down, he said, "Hey, we're seriously not going to hurt you, we promise. All I have on me is a pencil." Victim held out a pencil to prove his point.
"And I have nothing," Mitsi told me, helping me up. "It's nice to meet you, Yellow."
"You, too," I said awkwardly. "Hey, Blue, come on out. I think they're nice."
Blue came out and he did so skittishly. I could understand how he felt. The only other stickmen we ever met was Red, Green, and Second, and vice versa. Chosen and Dark may count, but do we know either of them as well?
As Blue got to my side, Mitsi asked, "So, where did you come from?"
"We came from Alan's PC. Y'know, Alan Becker? noogai3?" I reminded them.
Victim immediately looked away as Mitsi replied, "Oh, I remember hearing about him. He's Victim's creator. Victim doesn't like talking about him a lot, though. What's he like?"
"He's a great animator," I said. Victim gasped, taking a couple steps back in shock. "He's a really great friend. Me and Blue don't know him very well. He's not our creator. We come from the website, sticksfight.com, and he's our friend Second's creator."
"Nice," Mitsi commented.
"Wh-What do you mean he's.. a good friend?" Victim asked, coming back toward us. He sounded genuinely curious and very shocked.
"He's a good animator. He lets us crash his computer a couple hundred million times," Blue answered while I chuckled at the memories. "By lets us, I mean we blame it all on his punching bag, Green, one of our friends. No, he doesn't torture Green for fun. Alan just has a special way of teasing him."
"How are you two not dead yet?" murmured Victim.
"Do you two want to meet our friends?" asked Mitsi in the same heartbeat.
"Sure." Blue said.
"Why not?" I shrugged.
"Follow me!"
And so me and Blue followed them through the forest. Eventually we came upon a city, and me and Blue stopped in our tracks.
There was a lot of stickmen.
"They're not going to hurt you," Mitsi said. "Trust me. They're our friends."
"Victim! Mitsi!" Someone said, walking up to us. They were a tall stickman with glasses. "Hey!"
"Hey, Agent!" Victim greeted, waving.
"Look at who we found. New friends!" Mitsi gestured to me and Blue as we stood there nervously, looking around at the loads of stickmen.
"Hm?" Agent hummed, looking at us. "Oh, hey there. I'm Agent."
"I'm Blue," Blue said, mercifully taking the role of talker and stepping in front of me. "This is my friend Yellow."
I waved shyly as Agent replied, "Nice to meet you two. Welcome to our humble abode."
"Glad to be here." Blue responded.
Agent smiled before saying, "Where did you find these two?"
"In the clearing in the forest." Victim answered. "Me and Mitsi were hiking and we came across them."
"Do they need help finding their way home?" asked Agent, not taking his eyes away from us.
"I don't know. Do you?" asked Mitsi, looking at us.
"No. We don't want to go back." Blue shook his head, looking at me with a sad face.
"You said this Alan guy was a good animator." Mitsi recalled, confused.
"He was," I assured. "But... we recently found out about his past of torturing stickmen he created. We didn't exactly find that forgivable."
"It's not," Blue added. "How can a guy say he's a stickman friend when he's tortured stickmen before?"
"I'm not trying to make you forgive him, but maybe you're looking too much into the past," Mitsi suggested slowly. "After all, a person's past actions don't define them. It's what they do in the present that does."
Me and Blue looked at each other knowingly. Blue himself was a drug addict. He ate nether warts for a living, and his whole thing is literally drugs. When you really think about it, potions are beneficial (sometimes harmful) drugs. He often thought it would hinder his friendship with me and the others. We all came to terms with it eventually, and now he's only allowed to have nether warts every Wednesday.
I came to the horrifying realization that Mitsi was right. We defined Alan for his past actions, but we should have defined him by who he is now. We can't go back now, though. We've already left.
We're already gone.
"It's too late to go back," I whispered, "The portal is probably already closed by now."
"You can stay with us," Mitsi offered.
"Sure," Blue shrugged.
"Why not?"
Why not?
It was because, back home, our friends were suffering and we didn't know it.
