One heartbreak and one 'borrowing' the invisibility cloak later, Harry was hugging Payal's arm as she led them through Diagon Alley to a good restaurant place with ice-cream.
Harry was hesitant to hold her hand after she'd told him to sit on the couch, so she'd asked him to hug her arm to not get lost. She knew he craved physical contact but was scared. Whilst Payal didn't do hugs, she'd tolerate for him because he's her son.
After feeding him, she'd telephoned her dad to send a man to pick them up from Leaky Cauldron.
Hence here they were, Payal slamming the door to his office open like she owned the entire place. The two toddlers stood in front of Xander Zeravas, who was mentally trying to figure how the hell he got here.
"Baby, meet your grandfather, Xander Zeravas. Father, meet my son, Harry." Payal introduced proudly, chin tilted up like a general presenting war spoils.
"Payal... did you kidnap him?" Xander asked her in concern, his eyebrows furrowed.
"Yes. His aunt and uncle weren't nice so I decided to adopt him instead." Payal informed, subtly hinting him the hint that he caught easily.
Xander looked at the boy, who was wearing rags that barely clung to him and cracked glasses. He was looking at Payal like she hung the stars.
Jesus Christ.
"He's taller than you." Xander said finally, not having anything else to say.
"He's. My. Son." Payal said slowly. As if on que, Harry sneezed and Payal grabbed a tissue, holding it to his nose. She cooed sweetly, with eyes warmer than Xander had ever seen. "Here baby, blow on it. Good boy."
"What about his-" Xander didn't even get to finish before Payal started walking away again.
"I'll deal with it, Harry's staying in my wing."

- Midnight. Privet Drive –
The lights were off, the only source of light being the moonlight from the windows.
The room smelt of fear, ropes and blood.
Petunia and Vernon were tied and gagged to two chairs in the middle of the room, their eyes wide with terror. Blood was dripping from their heads.
Dudley was curled up on the couch, his eyes glossy as he strained to stay awake, trembling from fear.
And Payal?
She was standing in the middle of the room, sucking a cherry red lollipop in her oversized hoodie. She stared at the pests in front of her with repulsion.
Behind her Ares and another buff dude was standing in all black, her mafia dad's people. Silent. Motionless. Deadly.
Payal tilted her head at the two tied up bugs she was ready to squash. "You should've been nicer to him."
She stalked towards Vernon, staring at him blankly. "You shouldn't have touched what's mine."
She pulled out a small dagger, perfectly fitting in her palm and sparkling in the moonlight beautifully. Without blinking she stabbed it in his thigh.
Dudley let out a fearful scream, diverting Payal's attention.
Her eyes softened and she walked slowly towards him.
"Dexter... I know its scary... but its okay. I'm here to save you." Payal said in a gentle tone as she stood in front of him.
"M-my name is D-dudley..." He stammered fearfully.
