When they returned to the others with Earth in Sun's arms, everyone bombarded them with questions, panicking upon seeing Earth's state.
Everyone, aside from Mars.
He was frozen in place, eyes wide in shock and terror. He stared at the crimson substance leaking from Earth's arms, cuts ranging from small to large scattered across the two limbs, and black moisture smudged his face like an oil painting.
His ears rang. He felt lightheaded as he nearly lost his footing.
This was all his fault. Earth was like this because of him.
There was an excruciating pain in his chest as he watched Sun tear pieces of fabric from his clothes, gently wrapping his arms. Luna never strayed from Earth's side the whole time, deciding to lie next to him.
It had been an hour since then.
Earth was still unconscious, Luna staring at the other's face with bated breath. The black ooze had stopped running down the Celestial's face, yet it left traces of dark marks. Luna's eyes watered, yet the tears remained unshed.
Uranus was sitting nearby. He had been silent for a while, ignoring Neptune's attempts at conversation to instead watch Earth sleep.
Neptune pouted, taking a seat beside his-
His...?
...Who was he again?
Oh, well. It didn't matter how he knew the stranger. Neptune knew he could trust him for whatever reason. That's all that matters.
Probably.
Neptune was cut out of his thoughts as a yawn slipped from his mouth, making Uranus glance at him.
"You tired, mate?"
Neptune swiped at his eyes, "Mmh? Oh, no, not at all! It's just... I think I've had enough excitement to last a century, hahah..."
"I hear ya..." Uranus uttered, his eyes trailing back to Earth's body.
Neptune looked at the other, his head tilting slightly as he noticed his forlorn expression, 'Oh... they must be...'
Neptune had never been in love, but he couldn't shake off the feeling of familiarity. He huffed. It's not like he would remember, given how forgetful he could be.
And no matter how many times he wished on a comet, he would stay an amnesiac forever.
Rubbing his eyes again, he took a breath in before exhaling slowly. His movements were sluggish, his head bowing forward. He blinked slowly as his eyes closed.
Triton eyed him from afar with arms crossed. He turned his head, "Proteus, are you also-"
Proteus was passed out on the ground in a fetal position, snoring lightly as his chest rose and fell in an odd rhythm.
"Tired." Triton finished, kneeling beside his little brother, "Pro...?"
"Is something wrong, Triton?" A monotonous voice spoke.
"Wha- of course, something's wrong! Just look at him!" Triton snapped, his eyes glued to Proteus' body.
"...He looks fine to me. I don't know why you're worrying so much."
Triton growled under his breath, whipping his head to look at the intruder. He faltered, however, upon seeing Callisto. He blinked, surprise taking over his features, "Wha- uh, Callisto?"
