The ONC

This story was written specifically for the Open Novella Contest 2025, and it was based on prompt 126: "Because you're you, and I'm me, and we just don't fit".

I've been looking forward to participating in the contest for as long as I can remember, but this was the first year I actually managed to get past the first round, let alone actually reach the end in the allotted time. It's been a pleasure to write alongside so many talented writers, and to see all of the lovely stories I was following advance through the rounds.

A Spell Too Sweet has also been a joy to write, although I have to admit my planning was not the best. The blurb warns that this story is a first draft, and there are many, many issues with it. Consistency is questionable, and the pacing might be lacking in places. If you made it to the end despite all that, thank you!

I am already working on editing this story off 抖阴社区, and although I won't be done before the third round of the ONC closes, it should not take that long before I can update everything at once. (Oddly enough, though, editing is much more time-consuming than actually writing the thing!)

The Follyverse

Now, this might have been a new story, but the world it's set in is the same as for my Feast and Folly series (which also happens to be in need of a massive rewrite, so maybe don't go reading that just yet).

My lovely husband dubbed it the Follyverse one day, after listening to me tattle on excitedly about this story and how it meshes with all the others (oh, there are so many more!), and... The Follyverse stuck.

And then it kept growing.

There will be more stories coming out of Belarune and its neighboring countries, with even more magic than this one had.
