sunday
the morning light crept through the blinds, soft and gray.

seohyun woke up slowly, like the weight of the night was still pressing her down.

but something felt different.

she stretched her arms out from under the blanket, yawned, and for a second, she felt... lighter. Not much, but a little.

her phone was still face down on the nightstand. the only sound was the quiet hum of the apartment, the soft rustle of wind against the window.

she didn't want to stay in bed. didn't want to let the silence swallow her again.

so, she got up.

she moved across the room. grabbed her hoodie, the one that still felt a little too big, but warmer somehow.

she didn't know what today would bring.
but for the first time in a while, it didn't feel so heavy.

the moment she stepped out of her room, she felt the smallest tug of something different.

maybe it was the morning light, still soft but warmer than usual.
maybe it was the way her steps felt lighter as she moved around the kitchen, grabbing a glass of water.
maybe it was the fact that, for once, the silence didn't feel like a weight.

she paused by the window.

the sky was still gray, but there was a subtle shift in the air.
like everything was just... settling.
for the first time in a while, seohyun didn't feel like she was waiting for something to break.

she wasn't sure what it was. a moment? a feeling?
but she felt... okay.
maybe even a little better.

the quiet hum of the apartment wasn't overwhelming today. it was just background noise.

she smiled to herself—barely, but enough to feel the corners of her mouth pull upward.
not forced. not fake.

just real.

and for once, she let herself feel it.

seohyun stepped outside of her home, the cool morning air brushing against her face.
it wasn't much, but she felt something stir inside her — like the world wasn't as heavy today.

she started walking, her sneakers making soft, steady sounds against the pavement.

the streets were quieter than usual. fewer people.
it felt like she had space to breathe, space to be.

as she passed the bakery, the smell of fresh bread caught her attention.
a small, almost ridiculous thought flitted through her mind: maybe she should buy something. maybe a croissant, or a muffin.

just to do something small for herself.

she stepped into the bakery, the warm air inside wrapping around her like a blanket.
