When The Stars Forgot Us (BXB)

As I was going out the gate of our house, I was holding my phone and checked Grab, and I saw that the driver was still quite far away.

Biglang nag ring ang cellphone ko saka ko ito sinagot.

"Good morning, Casper!!" Masiglang bati sa'kin ni Chanel.

"Good morning, Chanel." Tamad kong bati sa kaniya.

"Are you and Asher in good terms na?" She curiously asked me.

"No... not yet." I hesitated. Because we never said we're on good terms. Sinabi lang niya na wala siyang problema sa akin at naka-inom pa siya at that time.

"Bakit mo nga pala natanong?" I asked her back.

"Ah wala, na curious lang ako. Nakita kasi ni Jeremiah si Asher palabas ng subdivision niyo kanina." Kaya naman pala ang aga aga nambubulabog si Chanel at bakit naman tsismoso itong si Jeremiah.

"Oh siya mamaya nalang, andito na grab ko." Saka ko binaba ang tawag.

In-open ko ang main account ko sa instagram habang binabiyahe ng Driver ang daanan papunta sa aking school.

Pinindot ko ang nag iisang post, it was my junior high moving up picture together with Mom, Dad, and Kuya Ciro. Ni zoom ko ang itsura ko dito, mukha namang masaya ako nung panahon na to.

Paano kaya kung walang nagbago sa pag kakaibigan namin ni Asher? Malamang ay mayroon din kaming picture noong moving up namin.

Habang tinitignan ko ang bawat punong nadadaanan namin ay naisipan kong i-follow si Asher. This time, I'm using my real account.

After a few seconds, I got a notification that he already accepted my follow request, then he followed me back and I accepted it too. Napangiti naman ako sa nakita. I'll take baby steps, hindi ko mamadaliin ito.

We're in the classroom and Miss Portia is teaching us General Chemistry. I'm taking notes while she's writing some formulas on the whiteboard.

Kinalabit naman ako ni Chanel habang ako'y nagsusulat nng mga notes. Hindi ko na siya nilingon at pasimple nalang nilapit ang aking upuan malapit sa kaniya.

"Hey, ano kasing section ni Asher?" She asked curiously. Nagtaka naman ako sa tanong niya.

"I don't know eh, pero ABM siya." sagot ko sa kaniya habang patuloy pa rin ako sa pagsusulat sa notes.

"Is he seeing someone right now?" Napakunot naman ako sa tanong niya. Why does she thinks that he's seeing someone right now? To be honest wala akong alam at wala akong planong alamin.

"I don't know..." Pabulong kong sabi sa kaniya baka kasi mahuli na kaming nag uusap ni Miss Portia na ngayon ay patuloy pa rin sa pagsusulat ng formulas sa white board.

"Well... someone saw him with that Medtech Student kanina." Na shock naman ako sa narinig dahilan ng pagkahulog ng ballpen ko sa arm chair. Ngayon ay napalingon na ako kay Chanel.

"Yung nasa video?" I asked her curiously.

"Yup, mukhang seryoso raw usapan nila kanina eh" Sagot sa'kin ni Chanel.

I didn't bother to reply to her anymore at pinagpatuloy nalang ang aking pagsusulat.

I don't really know how to feel about what I heard. I'm actually fine with him seeing someone—it's not like it concerns me anyway. Maybe it'll help him forget what happened between us before.

Kaya lang ang alam ko anak ng pulitiko yung babae. If I were him, I wouldn't even bother getting into that kind of relationship—especially with someone like her. I even heard she's from a political dynasty in our area.

Pagkatapos naming magklase ay agad kong inayos ang mga gamit ko dahil pupunta pa kami sa shs council room para magkaroon ng final meeting dahil bukas na magaganap ang unang araw ng sportsfest.

Malamang ay gagabihin na rin ang uwi ko niyan dahil aayusin pa namin ang mga booth dito sa university. Buti nalang hiwalay ang sportsfest ng senior high school sa college kase kung magkasabay ito ay mas lalo kaming mahihirapan.

While waiting for the other members, I put my bag down on the couch in the room and I notice that there's a notification pop up on my phone.

I immediately checked the app to see what it is.

Nagtaka naman ako sa message niya. Bakit naman ako magagalit? May dapat ba akong ika-galit?

Binubura ko ang bawat salitang na t-type ko sa message box. Nag iisip pa ako nang tamang i-re-reply.

I turned off my phone since andito na lahat ang members. It seems that everything's going okay with Asher. Pag nabigyan ako ng oras para kausapin siya gagawin ko ito. Gusto ko lang pagtuunan muna ng pansin ang sportsfest at upcoming prelims. I always treat him like a brother to me before and I know he feels the same way.

Suddenly I remember the moment he kissed me. I still want to believe it was just the alcohol — even my older brother kisses me on the cheek when he's drunk. It's probably nothing. Why am I overthinking things eh noong grade 6 kami sabay pa kaming naliligo.

"Casper, makakapunta ka sa gymnasium ngayon? paki check if andon na yung sound system." Tumango na lang ako saka sinunod agad ang utos sa'kin ni Kira.

"Chanel, talk to the club presidents and make sure their booths are in the right places." Sabi naman nito kay Chanel.

Lahat ay busy na sa kani-kanilang tasks. Ako naman, naglalakad na papunta sa gymnasium. Sa sobrang pagmamadali ko, may nabangga akong estudyante at agad akong nag-sorry. Pagtingin ko sa kanya, parang familiar siya. Napansin ko ang ID neto na may pangalan na Urielle Faye Medina Ty, so that's her name.

They were batchmates of my older brother, and when I asked Kuya Ciro before if he knew her, he said he only heard her name but didn't know her personally. It's because both he and Kuya Al went to Manila for college. The last time Kuya came home was when it was Kuya Al's birthday.

It's her from the video. The medtech student at mukhang galing siya sa gymnasium. Probably because of Asher.

She has short black hair, and her eyes are so dark they give off an intimidating vibe. She's a little shorter than me. Right now, she's wearing her medtech uniform, and you can really see the shape of her figure in it.

"You're okay." She smiled at me, then immediately turned his back and walked away.
