While the doctors were rushing off with Marjorie, one of the doctors glanced back at Reece. At this point, this doctor knew what would be going through his head. This doctor has been with him since the beginning of their stay at the hospital after the accident occurred.

Running back over to Reece, upon seeing his expression. The doctor wanted to give a quick rundown about what was happening.

"What is going on?! I was hardly out of the room for 2 minutes!" Reece immediately started asking as the doctor approached him. Reece was walking backwards slightly while his hands were resting on his head in stress.

"Okay, look at me..." the doctor started, trying to get Reece to focus on what was being said rather than having everything go in one ear and out the other. Reece looked at the doctor as he was getting told what was happening, "Your wife has gone into preterm labour... due to the accident."

"What? How? But she's only 25 weeks!" Reece started breathing heavily as he was coming to realize that he was going to become a dad, and they had absolutely nothing ready. But most of all, he was most worried about Marjorie and his unborn baby.

"The survival rate of the baby for a c-section at the gestation of 25 weeks is 70%, and your baby and wife seem to be in good health. There's very little risk of the baby having any issues occurring during the c-section." The doctor continued trying to calm Reece down.

"So, everything should be alright?" Although Reece still had heaviness in his breathing, he was starting to feel a little better about the emergency c-section.

"Yes. I will update you with any news. The baby will have its little check and then be brought straight out, and you'll be able to see your baby. As for your wife, she will be out shortly after the baby." The doctor reassured Reece once again before running in the direction they took Marjorie off to, as the doctor was needed in order to have this c-section happen smoothly.

Time seemed to go by extremely slowly as the room where Marjorie was once in felt empty without the bed being where it should be. Reece was pacing back and forth. The silence looming over the room was suddenly broken by the voice of the doctor and the wheels of a cart.

"Guess who is a dad to a beautiful and healthy baby girl?" The doctor said, walking into the room.

Reece immediately turned to face the door, where he suddenly felt everything fall into place. There, he set his eyes on his baby girl. The little grunts and coos could be heard coming from the baby girl. Reece was standing there in awe. He suddenly knew everything was going to be okay.

"Would you like to hold her?" The doctor asked, looking at Reece, who was still staring at his baby girl in awe from the outside of the incubator with his hands pressed up on the plexiglass.

"Is it okay for me to hold her?" Reece looked away from his baby girl and made eye contact with the doctor who was standing there across from him on the other side of the baby incubator.

"Of course it is. It's recommended with healthy babies at this age to do skin-to-skin contact." The doctor nodded, giving Reece a little smile as the look on Reece's face warmed the heart of doctor.

Reece immediately nodded in response. Reece got set up on the chair in the room, his sweater slightly unzipped, which exposed some of his skin. The doctor gently picked up the baby and laid her on his chest.

"Did you guys have a name picked out for this little girl?" The doctor asked while picking up the blank birth certificate.

Reece hesitated. This is something they only talked about seriously once or twice before they got pregnant. But he remembered the name Marjorie was always going on about, these two names she always dreamt of naming her future daughter.
