Jensen

"Here we are." Jack said, putting his old, red pick-up truck in park outside Moorfield High School. "Are you sure you wouldn't like me to come in with you?"

"Thank you for the offer and the ride, but I think I have it from here." Jensen assured him, he opened the door and stepped out. "I'll see you after school." He swung his backpack over his shoulder and headed for the building.

Teenagers pushed one another attempting to make their way inside, others filled the hallways to talk to one another. Jensen hurried to the auditorium where the first day orientation would be held. Thankfully for him, it was empty with nothing but peaceful silence.

The school bell rang, and students started to fill the auditorium, Jensen squeeze his eyes shut, enjoying the last few minutes of silence he would have. His eyes flew open at the sudden thud beside him, he glance to his left to see a pale, unfamiliar boy. "Sup." The boy said, with a head nod.

Jensen couldn't help but look at the boy with a total loss of words. "I'm Phoenix."

His curly, ginger hair fell right above his light-green eyes. Jensen couldn't help but raise a confused brow at him. "I haven't seen you around town, did you just move here?"

"Uh, yeah." Jensen spoke confused, almost worried.

"Cool." Phoenix replied.

The ceremony began, almost every important facility member walked upon the stage to give their own special speech about Moorfield High. Every other student running for something higher up such as the school president even had their own speech prepared. Over two hours, time ticked on begore the final word was said from the school's president John Rover. Students quickly grabbed their belongings, standing from their chairs before exiting into the hallway.

Jensen managed to swing his backpack of his shoulder and attempted to exit, once stepping into the hallway the voice of Phoenix filled his ears.

"Do you play sports?" Phoenix questioned, turning the hall.

"Umm I don't know," Jensen hesitated, unsure of what he did in his past life before the coma. He wasn't sure exactly what he did like, he couldn't remember even the slightest bit of information. "Why?" He asked, entering his first period science.

"Well, it's the new semester and lacrosse is having tryouts, you should come with me after school." Phoenix suggested, the two taking a seat at one of the lab tables on the left side of the classroom in the very back.

"I don't know if I can do any sports." Jensen muttered, Annie and Jack probably wouldn't agree with sports.

"Okay just give it a try, okay?" Phoenix questioned.

"I guess." Jensen muttered, removing his notebook from his backpack.

The sound of the warning bell filled every inch of the school, more students started entering the room. Jensen placed his head down, hoping to have a few more minutes of peace.

"Holy shit." Jensen heard Phoenix mumble; he lifted his head in his direction. Phoenix's eyes were glued onto the front of the classroom, wide with excitement and amusement. Jensen couldn't help but follow his gaze, his deep blue eyes landing on her figure. Her eyes were the most amusing thing for Jensen, a teal-blue hidden behind a gloss of coldness. She had the darkest brown hair with a slight wave that fell right to her waist. Her pale skinned seemed to shimmer with light. She wore a blue shirt that hugged her figure with a pair of dark washed blue jeans and to pair the outfit a black leather jacket.

Whispers floated across the room; boys gagged over her presences – questioning one another on who she was. Meanwhile girls judged at her beauty because attention was ripped away from them.
