Shido woke up early today—a event so rare that one would probably die before seeing it for the second time. Typically, he spent his nights binge-watching anime until the ungodly hours of the morning, so this punctual rise was nothing short of miraculous.
He let out a long, dramatic yawn, his body still tired. The weather outside was surprisingly pleasant—a calm, breezy morning that almost felt like a reward. Making his way to the kitchen in zombie mode to prepare breakfast, Shido spotted Tohka lounging on the couch in the living room.
What caught his attention, however, wasn’t her presence—it was what she was holding.
He squinted. Was she... reading a diary? It looked oddly familiar. Shido rubbed his eyes and did a double-take.
Wait a minute. That’s my diary!
He quickly approached and snatched the book from her hands. Tohka flinched, startled.
“Wha—Shido?! You’re awake this early?!” she gasped, eyes wide.
“That’s beside the point. Why were you reading my diary?” Shido asked, narrowing his eyes.
Tohka fell silent, fumbling for a valid excuse and ultimately finding none.
“Whatever. You probably didn’t find anything so interesting in it anyway,” Shido shrugged, tucking the diary into his bag with the casual grace of someone trying to preserve their dignity.
“No, actually! I did find some interesting stuff!” Tohka blurted.
“Huh? What.. in the world could be interesting about my useless diary?” Shido raised an eyebrow.
“Well… your hobbies, favorite food, random thoughts—it’s like a whole book of Shido knowledge!” she beamed.
He blinked. That information was supposed to be filler—just an excuse to camouflage important info about future events of this world.
“You actually read all of that...?” he asked, both impressed and mildly horrified.
Tohka nodded proudly.
“You really are Unemployment Pro Max,” Shido muttered under his breath, turning to walk away.
“W-Wait! Don’t go just yet...”
He stopped.
“What is it?”
“I... I just wanted to say I’m sorry for what happened yesterday. I hope you can forgive me,” Tohka said quietly, looking down.
Shido gave a soft smile and gently patted her head. “Don’t worry. I already forgave you.”

Later That Morning…
Kotori emerged from her room in her fluffy bed pajamas, bleary-eyed but determined to do the same routine as always; wake Shido up by force. But when she entered his room, she found it... empty.
Suspicious.
She strolled into the living room and found Tohka watching TV like a lazy housecat.
“Hey, Tohka. Have you seen Shido?”
“Huh? Nope. Maybe check the kitchen?” she said without looking away from the screen.
Kotori sighed and made her way to the kitchen—only to find shido himself, cooking like a professional cooker.
A long silence passed before Kotori finally broke it.
“Holy Cow, You're actually awake early.”
“I guess miracles do happen, Right?” Shido replied.
“By the way, aren’t you forgetting something?” he added.
