The Leer is not a planet, it is a void, a colossal space where gravity folds inward and forgotten lands drift beneath translucent domes. No one remembers who made the domes, or why they float, only that they remain, suspended over nothing, untouched by time.

One of these lands is called Vigreene. It is divided by ancient beliefs, governed by kings, queens, and a Council that claims peace but hides its knives in robes and laws. The capital city, Throsmoor, stands tall at its center, with silver towers, council halls, and streets wrapped in secrets. This is where power breathes, and where shadows speak.

Some are born with a gift called Glitter Mist, drawn from crystal-like orbs known as Vials. These orbs choose people at birth, giving them the ability to manifest thoughts into reality through imagination. But the gift is rare, and those without it are often cast aside, feared, or ignored. Those with it are watched, measured, and sometimes used.

The people of Vigreene follow two forgotten gods. Leraí, god of Order, is worshipped by the noble Arguwens. Vondmiri, god of Chaos, is honored by the rebellious Vikrame. Their followers have kept an uneasy peace for generations, but something is changing. Magic is shifting. Beliefs are breaking.

Some say the Queen of Throsmoor no longer shows her face. Some say she wears a silver mask and speaks through others. No one dares to question her not publicly.

In the city’s underlayers, where the light doesn’t reach, a girl runs between rooftops and gutters. She is fourteen. She is fast. She is silent. Her name is Rae Valor.

But it was not always Rae.

Before the Council, before the mask, before the orbs chose, there was something else. Something older. Something erased.

The world believes the gods are quiet. The world believes peace is holding.

The world is wrong.
