"I don't want to be a Police officer anymore!"
Ethan's voice was an adamant cry, angry and filled with spite. The once passionate dream to become a police officer, turned into hatred for the kind of public servants. The justice wasn't served. For Ethan, it was foul play.
"Ethan... Please don't speak like that..."
Xander's embrace was the last thing keeping Ethan sane, and not drowning in misery. But even then, It's short- lived. And the cool handcuffs on Xander's wrists are the reminder of the line keeping them away from each other.
"It's unfair, Axel! It's unfair! You were just protecting Mrs. Lee... Why can't they understand that...?"
The agitated voice slowly dissipated to weak whimpers, an obvious turmoil the dark- head teen was suffering from his friend's sentence.
"That's why I want you to keep chasing your dreams... Ethan... because I know you can make a difference."
Xander's cuffed hand found their to the other's chin, slowly tilting his head up so their blue eyes would meet— Like Two deep and vast oceans colliding.
"Keep thriving, Ethan... Once I get out of here..."
A soft smile, and Ethan's teary form slowly calmed down. The storm had yet turned to a gentle rain.
"I'll be the one at your aid, soon..."
