1. Playful Tease Turns Serious

They stood facing each other, laughing at something silly he'd said. Without warning, he wrapped his hands around her waist, pulling her closer. She froze, a little shocked by the sudden closeness, but before she could pull away, she locked her arms around his shoulders, matching his playfulness.

He grinned, stepping even closer, his chest brushing against hers as he gave her a tight hug. She didn't push him away, though—no, she let him hold her for a moment longer than expected.

She had something else in mind.

With a soft breath, she cupped his face gently, pulling his lips to hers for a quick, sweet peck. A teasing smile danced on her lips as she pulled back, watching his eyes for a reaction.

She thought he'd be shocked, thrown off guard by the kiss after their playful teasing. But instead, his gaze darkened, and before she could even process what was happening, his lips crashed into hers—rougher this time, heated with a hunger she hadn't expected. His hands cupped her face, deepening the kiss as if he hadn't been playing at all.

Her heart raced, and in that moment, she realized it wasn't just a playful game anymore. She pulled him closer, no longer holding back.

This wasn't just a tease. It was everything she'd been holding inside, finally spilling out, and he was doing the same.

2. The Aftermath

The morning after was the quietest she had ever experienced. His body, once tangled with hers in the heat of the night, was now gone. She woke up alone, the bed cold beside her. No goodbyes, no lingering kisses. Just silence.

She tried to push it out of her mind, brushing it off as an accident, a momentary lapse. But when she arrived at university the next day, her heart sank the moment she saw him. He walked past her in the hallway, not even sparing a glance her way. His eyes were cold, indifferent—like the night before had never happened.

Confused and hurt, she took a seat in their usual spot, hoping he'd come around, but he didn't. He ignored her completely, even when she caught his gaze from across the room. The casual, playful smile she remembered was replaced by a look of total indifference.

Then her phone buzzed.

She opened the message, her face paling as she read the words: "She's just an easy target. Played her like everyone else."

The message was followed by others, all mocking her—his friends had joined in, laughing at her expense. The intimacy they shared meant nothing to him. She had been nothing more than a game.

Her breath caught in her throat as the betrayal hit her, each word cutting deeper. She thought he was different. She thought he cared. But now she understood: to him, she was just another conquest.

The coldness of the room matched the chill in her chest. She stood up, walking out of the room, her steps heavy with the weight of his deceit.

3.Drowned in Jealousy

The poolside was alive with laughter and music, the kind of lively summer afternoon where everything felt carefree. But for her, it was the worst possible place. Her eyes flickered over to him—standing there, laughing with that damn accountant, the man she'd been seeing for years. And then she—the woman who'd dare approach him, eyes soft with kindness and an ease that drove her mad.

Jealousy rose like a wave, uncontrollable. Without thinking, she stormed over to the edge, her voice sharp as she confronted the woman. "You think you can just waltz in here and steal his attention like that?"

The woman blinked, taken off guard, but before she could say anything, the jealous one shoved her forward—pushing her into the cool, clear water.

But fate had other plans.

As she stumbled, arms flailing to regain balance, she reached out instinctively and grabbed the first thing she could—her. The splash echoed, and for a second, everything froze. The woman who'd pushed her in was now tumbling with her, both falling into the pool, the sharp gasp of air stolen from their lungs.

Chaos erupted as the main lead rushed toward the pool, his childhood friend now splashing helplessly, flailing in the water. Without a second thought, he dove in, strong arms pulling the jealous woman to safety, his heart racing from the shock of it all. He was always protective of her—too protective, he thought. But she was in danger. He couldn't—wouldn't—let anything happen to her.

As he hoisted her out, water dripping down his face, he looked back—his gaze locking with the woman who had caused all this mess. She was still in the pool, drenched, her eyes wide and filled with a raw, vulnerable emotion. Her shoulders were hunched, a mix of embarrassment and the beginnings of tears. The moment felt like an eternity, and for the first time, he saw her clearly—not as just someone trying to impress him, but as someone who was hurt, perhaps more than he realized.

Without a word, he turned toward the jealous woman, his hand still gripping her shoulder, though his mind was somewhere else entirely. The sight of the woman in the pool—on the edge of breaking down—lingered in his chest.
