everyone loves her.
george knew it would be that way, even before he made it official, before he posted the first photo, the one where she was tucked into his side at some small event, a soft grin on her face and his hand resting on her waist.
but he took his time.
not because he was unsure, but because she wasn't in that world. not a youtuber, not a tiktoker, not an influencer with a built-in audience. she had her own life, her own quiet way of existing, and he wanted to protect that for as long as he could.
she didn't ask to be known. and yet, somehow, she fit in so seamlessly that it was almost like she was meant to be part of it.
he eased her in. one tagged post. then a story of her laughing at something he said off camera. a soft launch that wasn't so soft, because fans had already clocked the way he looked at her in the background of a few vlogs. the way his voice changed slightly when he mentioned "my girlfriend."
and of course, there were people who had opinions. twitter threads dissecting her appearance, her past, her job. tiktok comments making assumptions or starting rumors. it was inevitable, part of the mess that came with being with him.
but she handled it like she handled everything: calmly, kindly, quietly.
those that loved her? she loved right back. she answered dms when she could, liked tweets she was tagged in, even posted the occasional q&a on her instagram stories. most of it was light — favorite coffee orders, movie recommendations, song recs. some questions about her and george would sneak in, and she never minded answering, so long as it didn't get too personal.
"save that for the podcast," she'd say with a smirk, knowing full well george would eventually have her on.
and he did - with andrew, of course. a chaotic couple's episode that had fans losing their minds in the best way.
"i'm pretty sure everyone loves yn more than they love me," george joked, glancing at her like she was the sun.
"what can i say?" she grinned. "you're not the only one with a pretty face, georgey boy."
"it's the dimples. i'm telling you."
the episode went viral. clips of them teasing each other, her roasting him lovingly, george beaming the entire time. the comment sections were flooded with things like protect her at all costs and she's so real for this.
at events, fans always asked for photos with her; sometimes before they even noticed george was standing nearby. she took selfies, shared silly poses, hugged the ones who were brave enough to ask, and always thanked them for being kind.
and george... he just stood there, hands in his pockets, watching it all with the softest smile. because it never annoyed him. not even a little. seeing how loved she was, how effortlessly she connected with people, just made him love her more.
