Today was my last day before presenting the song to everyone. I wasn't entirely sure about it, but I was pretty happy with what I've created. Since Monday, I went back on set twice and every time Tom and I talked to each other, it was weird but it was electric. Not in a good or in a bad way. It just was. The attraction that I had for this man was undeniable, but it was also out of place. I needed to stop it but I couldn't fight the feeling.
"Hi Amelia." I say as I walk into the building.
I had become quite close with her. She was very nice. And I actually found out that her and Theo went out on a date a few times and he never made a move. I promised myself that before leaving tonight I would go talk to him. She clearly liked him a lot and he I'm sure did too. They just needed a little bit of help.
As I enter the room where I usually go to play, I find Colin Firth sitting on the couch, on his phone.
"Oh, sorry." I say about to close the door again.
"It's fine, I was just about to go. How are you?"
I couldn't believe I was having a conversation with the man from my favorite movie ever since I was nine.
"Kinda freaking out. I need to finish the song. It needs to be perfect."
"Don't worry about it. What is it about?"
"Well, since you ask... It's actually about your character and that woman. And just the way that he is afraid of love so he decides to hide everything until it explode."
"That sounds perfect. I can't wait to hear it." he says smiling.
"Alright, if you excuse me." he continued before leaving the room.
Well, that didn't doubled the pressure at all.
I had been playing the song over and over for the past three hours. I must've played it at least a hundred times. But it was ready, and I was sure of it this time. As I checked the time, I realized how late it was. I told Theo I would meet him in ten minutes. I needed to hurry if I wanted to be on time. As I quickly gathered all of my stuff, I heard the door behind me open itself.
"Oh, I didn't know you were still in there." said the voice of an English man I could recognize a mile away.
"I was just leaving."
"Got somewhere you gotta be?" he closed the door.
"I'm meeting Theo."
"Mmh. Got it."
He sat on the chair behind the piano.
"What does that mean?" I asked offended.
"What? Nothing. Hurry, you're gonna be late." he said looking at the sheets.
"Is that the song?" he asks reading through the partitions.
"Yes."
"Can I hear?"
"No."
"Why not?"
"Because, I'm already late."
"Right."
I picked my bag and started to get to the door.
"Have fun on your date." he said before I left.
God, I hated him.
"It's not a date."
"Are you sure? Because that guy clearly likes you."
"What are you talking about? Why do you even care?"
