Aadhya's pov

The soft glow creeping through the curtains painted the room in the delicate hues of a new day. I felt the gentle rhythm of Vardhaan’s breath against the nape of my neck, his hand resting possessively on my breast. Peace radiated from his sleeping face, and my gaze lingered on the faint mark etched on his bare chest – a tender reminder of the passionate  night before. A wave of protectiveness washed over me, an instinctive desire to shield him from everyone. I tightened my embrace, pressing soft kisses onto his forehead, down his cheek, and finally, a butterfly touch on his nose.
“I love you so much,” I whispered.

Suddenly, his eyes fluttered open, a slow, deliberate awakening. In a swift motion, he hovered above me, gently pinning my hands above my head.
“Can you say it again?” he murmured, his voice a low, husky rumble that sent shivers down my spine. He nuzzled into me, his breath warm against my skin.
“Weren’t you sleeping?” I asked, a hint of amusement in my tone.
“Nah,” he replied, his lips curving into a lazy smile against my collarbone. “Just melting in the love of my wife.” He gently caressed my cheek, his thumb tracing the curve of my jaw.

“Aap… aap naa, besharm hain,” I stammered, covering my face with my palm, a blush creeping up my neck as the vivid memories of my own  actions from the previous night flooded my mind.
( You ...you are shameless)
He chuckled softly, his lips finding my forehead in a tender kiss.
“Are you feeling any hurt or pain anywhere?” he asked, his voice laced with genuine concern. His eyes searched mine, seeking reassurance.

I shook my head, a small smile gracing my lips.
“Beta, I have to go to the gym. Are you alright to bathe by yourself?” he inquired, his brow slightly furrowed with worry.
“Vardhaan, I’m not a child,” I protested gently, and he chuckled again, finding my slight indignation endearing.
“Bring Kunnu to me,” I requested, my heart already yearning for our little one. He showered my cheeks, forehead, and lips with lingering kisses before finally leaving the bed. I snuggled deeper into the comforting warmth of the comforter, a sigh escaping my lips. “Ahhhh… This man is truly dangerous for my heart.”
Soon after, he reappeared in the room, our precious baby nestled securely in his arms.
“Mammma…” Kunnu chirped, his bright eyes locking onto mine.
“Jao, jao mamma ke paas,” Vardhaan said with a hint of playful sarcasm, acknowledging our son’s unwavering attachment to me.
( Go, go to your mamma)
I reached out and took Kunnu into my arms. He immediately nestled his face against my chest, his small body radiating warmth and comfort.
“Mamma, veel chachu,” he babbled in his sweet baby voice, his words still a delightful mix of sounds and meaning.
“Betu, he will come soon,” I reassured him, stroking his soft hair.
“It’s all because of you, Vardhaan. Why did you send Veer with an unknown man?” I questioned, a flicker of worry surfacing.
“He is not a stranger, Aadhya. And Veer can’t stay sheltered under my wing forever. He needs to learn, to grow beyond my influence,” he stated, his tone firm but gentle.
“But…”
“He is not a child anymore,” Vardhaan interrupted softly, his gaze understanding. He approached me, kneeling in front of the bed, his eyes meeting mine.
“Baby, don’t worry,” he said, his hand reaching out to cup my cheek. Then, with a final kiss on my forehead, he left for his morning exercise. These men and their unwavering dedication to the gym!

“Let’s go take a bath, okay?” I murmured to Kunnu, and we made our way to the washroom. A soreness down there  reminded me of the intimacy of the previous night, his presence still a palpable  around me. After carefully testing the water, I gently placed Kunnu in his little tub. He absolutely adored his bath time, his tiny hands splashing the water with joyous abandon, some of it  landing on me.
“What is this?” I asked, playfully indicating the droplets on my arm.
“Watal,” he replied with a serious expression, and I couldn’t help but chuckle at his earnestness.
“I know it’s water, my love, but why are you throwing it on me?” I said.
