I froze.

Tightening my grip around him so I wouldn't have to pull back and see his face of disappointment.

It's not like I meant to drink it, Sebastian switched my drink. I just chose to not to tell him for my own benefit.

I swallowed the lump in my throat, "I-...."

"I gave you pumpkin juice."

Fuck. I was so screwed. And I've never really heard him this mad before.

"I know but-"

"But nothing, Lyra. You shouldn't be-"

I heard the chair being pushed aside and soon the footsteps of another came to our side. I unlatched myself from Ominis shoulders and turned to see Sebastian coming over and stopping abruptly on our sides. Ominis still had his hand on my back, holding me tightly.

"Is there a problem?" Sebastian asked.

He turned to me with a high brow but I just pleaded with my eyes. Hopeful he would take mercy on me so Ominis wouldn't be mad. I was enjoying my long and sensual dance with him and didn't want it to end.

"She's been drinking wine this whole time." Ominis stated, turning his face to me while I bit down on my own bottom lip.

"Has she now? Well-..... in that case, I think that is a whole weeks worth of detention." Sebastian said.

I gasped.

What!

"But I didn't-!" I protested.

"Students are not allowed to be drinking inside the school premises. You should be aware of this Lyra."

I pointed to Sebastian. "Ominis I didn't-"

"Enough! You know better than that, I expected better out of you Lyra." Sebastian scolded.

Tears sprung to my eyes as Sebastian yanked me out of Ominis grasp.

It was HIS fault!

"You won't even let me explain-!" I cried.

Sebastian pulled me flush against him. "No, we won't." He turned to face Ominis. "I'll punish her now and have her back to you in a bit."

Ominis just nodded with no remorse as he turned away and left me with Sallow.

But I didn't want to be without him! I wanted him to understand it was Sebastian's fault and not mine! Yes I shouldn't have drank the wine, and yes I should have been up front and honest about it but I thought it wasn't a big deal. Today was Christmas! I just wanted to let loose for a little while.

Sebastian yanked on my arm and started pulling me toward the stairs back to the main foyer.

"Wait-!" I struggled against him.

This wasn't right I wanted to be with Ominis! I wanted-.... I wanted him! I wanted him back!

I yanked and pulled but Sebastian had a death grip on my arm. "Ominis wait!" I pleaded. He had me half way up the stairs when a single tear had fell.
