It's been four months since the Gupta settled in Shyam's mansion.Khushi has resumed her final year in university even though she had to repeat the year but she was happy.
Payal was also ecstatic with her new job as an intern and was hoping to permanently work for her favorite designer which will be possible as the designer loved her embroidery designs.
Shashi on the other hand had decided to sell his sweet shop in Lucknow and start all over in Delhi and with the help of Shyam, he was able to get it done in days and found a location to start in Delhi.
His relationship with Garima was still strained even though Shyam had forgiven her and tried to get not only Shashi but Khushi and Payal to forgive her but he failed miserably and gave up praying time will heal them all.
In all this, they were happy but then the date for his divorce hearing with Anjali was now hours away and this has cast a gloomy atmosphere in the mansion.
Shyam wanted to go alone but the Guptas insisted on coming with him to support him and even though he didn't admit openly, he was happy seeing their support.
Courtroom – Morning.
The large courtroom buzzed with tension, a cold undercurrent pulsing through the air as the Raizadas took their seats.
Anjali, veiled in white and wrapped in silent pain, sat beside Nani and Mami. Her posture was stiff but dignified.
Arnav stood silently behind her, his jaw locked in quiet fury at being dragged to the courthouse.
Akash, noticeably annoyed, had refused to be part of the hearing but was dragged into it by Arnav as he didn't want to be alone with them.
The door creaked open as heads turned and whispers broke out as the Gupta family entered the courtroom.
Shashi walked in with the help of his cane, Garima, Buaji, Payal, and Khushi trailing behind.
Clad in muted tones, their expressions were grim, uncertain – until it became clear where they were headed not to the Raizadas but toward the opposite bench toward Shyam.
Gasps echoed as Mami leaned forward, eyebrows shooting up in disbelief.
“Hello hi, bye bye… What the hell is going on?” she whispered, voice sharp.
Nani narrowed her eyes, confusion and suspicion brewing beneath her wrinkled brow.
“Why would the Guptas be here… supporting him?”
Arnav’s eyes flicked to Khushi, and for a moment, something unreadable passed through his face, disbelief, then concern.
He knew how nasty divorces can be and didn't want his precious Khushi to be exposed to such a dark side.
Since he found out about Khushi’s relationship with Shyam, he was shocked but refrained from confronting her or Shyam.
Only him, Aman and Akash knew the relationship between Khushi and Shyam.
Akash closed his eyes cursing his fate as Payal shot a disapproving gaze at him.
He tried to get up and move to them, but Anjali rose before him, her eyes locked with Khushi’s.
The hatred in her gaze was chilling, raw, pointed, unforgiving.
Khushi froze and her lips parted slightly, confusion written plainly on her face.
“Jiji?” she whispered, barely audible.
Payal’s hand instinctively gripped Khushi’s arm, signalling her she was here with her.
