CHAPTER FOURTEEN

Aurelia had woken up an hour prior.

She didn’t open her eyes at first.

Didn’t move.

Just lay there beneath the weighted blanket, breath slow and shallow, spine curled toward the center of the bed like her body knew something her mind wasn’t ready to acknowledge.

The room was still dark. Not blackout, not pitch—but quiet. Soft.

It was the hour before morning. The hour when the world hovered between dreams and decisions.

And something inside her had shifted.

She didn’t know what time it was.

Didn’t care.

Because something else pulsed louder than time right now.
The dream hadn’t ended in fire. It hadn’t climaxed in chaos.

It had ended in his voice.

Saying her name like a vow.

Holding her like she was something holy.

And now…

Now she couldn’t go back to sleep.

She exhaled once. Quiet. Just enough to steady the weight on her chest.

It didn’t work.

Her fingers curled into the sheets. Not to anchor. Not to brace.

To remember.

The feeling of his palm against her ribs.

The whisper of his mouth above the ink that had been on her chest in the dream.

> “I just need you to stay mine.”

The words slammed into her like impact recoil.

She sat up slowly, muscles stiff from stillness, heart pounding like she’d just stepped off a battlefield.

The covers slipped from her shoulders.

Her skin was flushed.

Not hot.

Not overheated.

Just… primed.

Awake in a way she couldn’t explain.

---

She'd recognized the dreams- or parts of them at least.

They were memories, altered, like they were from another life.

But this wasn't another life.

And she wasn't his girl.

She let her head fall back against the wall.

"Damn it Mina," She muttered. "You were right, I'm so fucked."

Because their friends were right.

And she knew a bond when she saw it- Two years of Quirk Bond Theory and Education and sixteen years of living with the most powerful quirk bonded in history ensured that much.

That wasn't just a dream.

It was a Convergence Dream.

She took a deep breath.

That meant he had it too... and he had no clue what it was.

Japan didn't teach Quirk Bond Theory and Education like they did in the States.

She rubbed a hand down her face.

The only reason Mina, Jirou, Kirishima, and Kaminari know as much about Quirk Bonds as they do is because they're bonded.
