A Little Bit Reckless

I was currently freaking out by the lake while Regulus looked at me like I was crazy. But he might not be wrong honestly. I just appeared out of now where in Hogwarts thee Hogwarts! This is her dream to be here. But she never expected to actually be here.

I just stare at the castle as I think of a plan or wait for courage to ask someone. But what could I say to them without sounding totally weird

Oh hey so your whole life is written in a book in the muggle world where magic doesn't exist and I wished I could be here and I appeared in the world. Could you help me?

I sigh this is not going well

Regulus starts inching towards me I can see out of the corner of my eye "Uh do you need some help?"

I whip my head towards him so thankful that I didn't have to start the conversation "Yeah uh you can could you tell me where Dumbledore office is? I'm kind of lost." I was tempted to tell him everything, but I didn't want to scare him away. That would have to do.

"Yeah just head straight into the castle and head up the stairs and turn right and left and go upstairs again and at the end of the hall you'll see it."

My brain tried to remember it but it was already fading. "So up the stairs turn left then right then go up the stairs?" I verified

He nodded

"Thank you so much. I owe you one." I turned around after I gave him a big smile. I headed up to the castle with people giving my dirty looks

I was suddenly aware that I was in sweats and a sweatshirt. I thank the universe that it was cold yesterday and I wasn't wearing my normal pajamas. Which consisted of old volleyball shorts (and if you play volleyball you know they are practically booty shorts) and a oversized t that would have swallowed my pants whole.

"Up, Right, Left, Up," I repeated over and over. But once I got into the castle all those thoughts were erased. I gasped causing more looks from ongoers but I didn't care. It was just so magical so unbelievable that she was here. I looked all around books floating, spells flying, the hogwarts robes that I loved all around.

I must have stood there for a good five minutes in awe because it was just crazy to me. I shook my head. More time for that hopefully later. Regulus directions already became foggy, she usually had a good memory, but this was just to big for her head to wrap around she couldn't really think about directions. Nevertheless she was trying to remember. Her first direction was obviously up she got that part. But was it left or right?

That's the question, she took a gander and went left. I was too busy looking at the walls covered in all of the moving pictures to pay attention to where I was going since I ended up by the fat lady portrait which I knew was the Gryffindor common room entrance.

Okay, no more distractions Jane, I told myself. I waited for the people to climb out of the portrait hole before I could ask the fat lady. They too gave me a weird look. I rolled my eyes a sweatshirt and sweats can't be that uncommon here like come on guys.

I waited patiently for it to close so I would be faced to face with the Fat Lady.

"Password?" She asked

"Oh no I'm uh not a student here. I'm trying to find Dumbledore's office and I got turned around could you help me?"

"Of course but you have to listen to my singing first." She clears her throat clearly about to start singing

I heard footsteps behind me and I sigh in relief even in the books she was a very high-pitched singer but she was kind and that's all the matters to me
