it was a sunday morning and the smith family was eating breakfast at the table. to summer's dismay, morty had just ratted out that she was failing algebra.
"morty you little shit!" summer exclaimed, looking up from her phone for the first time this morning.
"summer are you serious?!" beth said with an annoyed look on her face. "i know school isn't a main priority in this house, but you at least have to graduate!"
summer looked back down at her phone. "my teacher's a bitch. what do you want from me?" she didn't seem too concerned.
rick felt a lightbulb go off in his head.
"(y/n)'s pretty smart. you should have her tutor you." he said nonchalantly, not looking up from his plate. in reality, he just wanted an excuse for you to be around.
beth smiled. "that's a great idea, dad." she then turned to summer with a scowl. "you better get this taken care of."
"fineee i'll text her."
-
you were sitting on the couch reading a book when you heard your phone buzz.
summer: hey (y/n)! my mom is being a bitch because i'm failing algebra. you think you could tutor me?
you chuckled a little to yourself before texting back.
— yeah i don't mind. you want me to come over tonight?
summer: yeah. come over around 5 you can eat dinner with us if you want
— k sounds good
you smiled and folded the corner over of the page you were reading. you decided to go ahead and get ready, your insides growing fuzzy at the thought of seeing rick again. you were developing a little bit of a crush, but you pushed that to the back of your mind. you couldn't let yourself be too vulnerable.
-
you parked in front of the smith house, noticing the garage door was open. rick and morty were both sitting looking over rick's workbench.
"hey guys!" you greeted them with a smile as you walked up the driveway.
"h-hi (y/n)" morty greeted back. rick kept his eyes down, invested in whatever he was tinkering with.
"morty go tell summer (y/n)'s here" rick said without looking up. you got butterflies thinking about the last time you saw him. morty stood up and headed inside. it was just you and rick now.
"you just couldn't stay away, could you?" rick said with a smirk, his attention shifting up to you.
you felt your cheeks grow warm. "don't flatter yourself, i'm just here for summer." you teased smugly, but you weren't fooling anybody.
rick stood up. "garage?" he stated, looking up slightly. "yes rick?" a robotic female voice replied. you couldn't tell where it came from. "close the door."
the garage door began to close and rick started walking towards you. you felt your insides grow warm. he was looking you dead in the eyes.
"you wouldn't have worn that if you were just here for summer, hmm?" he lifted your chin up slightly as he spoke. you were wearing tightly fitted clothes. it was modest, but your figure was very noticeable.
"i-i uh-" you trailed off, your eyes averting ricks gaze. you were thinking of him when you put them on.
he chuckled. "i bet you were thinking of me when you put them on."
'fuck'
you were flustered. something that didn't happen very often. "you wish." you retaliated. he was reading you like a book.
