Shuhua was a confident girl.
She attracted the attention of many with her confidence.
There was confidence in every syllable, movement, smile.
Decisive in everything, she was not afraid of anything and always had control over any situation.
Then why am I so timid in front of Minnie-unnie's room? Shouldn't I just ask her if she's changed her mind about going for a bike ride this Sunday? Come on, Shu, knock on the door and ask? Don't just stand there!
The self-instruction did not yield any results, on the contrary, the girl hesitated even more. For some reason (it is not clear for what reasons), but her hand did not obey her. Just as her voice did not obey, it suddenly disappeared somewhere, although only 10 minutes ago she loudly argued with Yuqi.
For some reason she was nervous, her heart was beating anxiously in her chest.
If Minnie hadn't left the room to get a cup of tea, Shuhua would have stood there longer. The older girl raised her eyebrows in surprise, smiling broadly, pulling Shuhua into her arms:
- Why didn't anyone tell me that you had arrived? Have you been here long? Why are you standing outside my room and not coming in?
"Hello, Minnie-unnie," Shuhua said with difficulty, feeling the heat spreading through her chest, scorching her heart. "I came to see Yuqi, and then I remembered that I forgot to check with you about the time for Sunday."
- Have you changed your mind? You don't want to... - Minnie didn't finish her sentence, Shuhua shook her head sweetly.
- I'm looking forward to our date, unnie!
- Oh! I'm glad - Minnie laughed happily, still holding the maknae in her arms. - Nothing has changed, I'll pick you up in the morning, around 10 o'clock - she said softly, as Shuhua snuggled closer to her, resting her head on her shoulder.
Shuhua melted in the warmth and comfort that Minnie's arms and body gave her. She liked the way Minnie always hugged her. She liked listening to the quiet, even breathing above her head, the way her chin rested on the top of her head, and hearing the quiet heart in her chest. She liked the scent of perfume, sweet with a hint of fresh flowers, reminiscent of the smell of home. All the worries and fatigue that had accumulated during the day began to disappear, Shuhua relaxed. Her eyes began to stick together on their own, and she was almost asleep, cozying up, when the doors to the next room suddenly opened, startling her.
- Shuhua, are you still here? You said you were going home! - Yuqi asked in confusion, looking suspiciously at the girls' embrace. - Am I disturbing something? - She raised her eyebrows teasingly.
"No," Minnie replied, Shuhua didn't react at all, she just looked at Yuqi.
"You look sleepy, Shuhua," Yuqi pointed out worriedly, "maybe you could spend the night at my place? Let's call unnie and tell her you'll be here."
"I'm going home," Shuhua said simply, reluctantly leaving Minnie's embrace. It felt cold and uncomfortable again, she shrugged her shoulders and smiled weakly. "See you tomorrow, good night."
"Drive carefully," the girls asked, seeing her to the very door, "write or call as soon as you get there."
"Okay," she waved goodbye, disappearing behind the door.
My legs wouldn't obey, and my heart wanted to go back.
She wanted to go back and agree to spend the night.
Just not with Yuqi, but with Minnie.
She wanted Minnie's arms to hold her while she slept.
Why? What's happening to me?
