Italy, Nighttime.

The milky moonlight bathed the quiet Italian sky, falling upon Anya and Aditya who stood on the terrace below. Aditya's eyes were fixed upwards, on the shimmering moon, as if a deep secret lay hidden within it. A shadow of sadness rested on his face, appearing deeper in the night's silence.

Anya stood beside him, her gaze on Aditya, feeling very worried for him.
"You should forget about that girl, Aditya," Anya said softly. "She is a married woman."

Aditya gave no response, his eyes still fixed on the moon. His hands tightened on the iron railing of the terrace, veins bulging as if suppressing a deep pain. Suddenly, with a jerk, he pulled Anya towards him.

She was now pressed against his chest, Aditya's hands gripped the railing, and Anya stood directly between them.

Anya looked up, her eyes deeply meeting Aditya's. Even in that moonlight, the dampness in Aditya's eyes was clearly visible, as if a storm within refused to subside.

"What happened, Adi? Did I say something wrong?" Concern flickered in Anya's voice. "Adi, Mayuri is a very good girl," she continued, her voice growing softer. "You should talk to her once. The poor girl loves you so much... but why do you hate her so much? Did she do something?"

Aditya finally tore his gaze from the moon and looked into Anya's eyes. There was a deep pain in his eyes, a sorrow difficult to express in words. "I don't want to talk about that girl," his voice was heavy.

As Anya opened her mouth to say something more, Aditya placed a finger on her lips. He brought his face closer to Anya's, their breaths mingling.

"Adi, what are you doing?" Anya whispered.

His finger was still on Anya's lips.
Aditya said, his voice laden with emotion, "You want to know why I don't like that girl?"

Anya slowly nodded, "Hmm."

Aditya took a deep breath, his eyes lost somewhere far away. "First love... first love is madness, isn't it?"

Anya nodded again, "Hmm."

"Can you forget Rivaan?"

At this, Anya's eyes widened instantly.

Aditya said with a slight, bitter smile, "I just said that much and you reacted like this. Now you tell me, you're asking me to forget the girl for whom I can even sacrifice my life? How can I forget her? She is my first love. If I have to die for her one day, even that is acceptable to me."

"But Adi..." Anya tried to say.

"Shh," Aditya cut her off, his finger still on her lips. "No more. Now you will never mention that girl in front of me again. Do you understand?"

Anya surrendered and nodded, "Hmm."

Aditya was still standing in the same position, his grip on the railing firm.

Anya softly said, "Adi, we should go downstairs now."

Aditya showed no reaction. His grip tightened, as if Anya's words displeased him completely.

Anya said again, "Adi?"

Then, suddenly, Aditya placed his hand on Anya's lower back and pulled her forcefully towards him.

Anya's body collided with his chest, their breaths once again intertwined. "Adi, what are you doing?" Anya whispered.

Aditya loosened his grip and released her.

Anya separated from him and looked at him.

Aditya's eyes were closed, there was a strange peace on his face, as if he was enduring some deep pain.
