Innocently Yours

Naira was sitting in the corner of her cabin. Her head was down on the table, tears wetting her diary. Her hands were shaking. Her eyes red. Her heart breaking again and again. Just then, the door creaked open.

Sam entered in the cabin and paused as she saw Naira crying.

" Why are you crying? What happened? Naira  " asks Sam softly while walking near to her.

" He... Naksh..Bhai . he said... " says Naira between sobs.

" What did he said now ? " asks Sam, placing a hand on her shoulder.

Naira stands up and wipes her tears with the back of her hand.

" He said... now he has no problem if I marry Kartik " says Naira in a broken voice.

Sam frowns.

" But this is a good thing , right? Then why are you crying  " Sam asks.

Naira shakes her head, tears rolling again.

" No! Because he said that Kartik is no longer a beggar. That the marriage will be beneficial for business. thats the reason bhai is happy with the marriage now! " says Naira in  her voice filled with pain.

" Oh my God... " whispers Sam.

" Is my love nothing to him? Is my happiness so cheap? " cries Naira.

Sam hugs her tightly, and Naira breaks down in her arms.

Meanwhile...

Kartik was walking out of the office. His laptop bag slung over his shoulder. His eyes tired, his mind heavier than ever.

" Kartik! " calls a voice.

He turns and looks to find It was Naksh.

" Hi " says Naksh with a smile.

Kartik raises an eyebrow.

" What happened Naksh ? " asks Kartik in  a bit cold tone 

" I was thinking... Actually you are such a good coder, Kartik. Very smart. I want you to work for my cyber team in Krishna Mall. Just one collaboration, Please dont say No  Kartik " says Naksh casually.

Kartik blinks in  surprise

" I am not interested " says Kartik bluntly.

" Ask for anything, Please even  you can  Ask for double money, triple money. But don't say no  , Just one collab " insists Naksh.

Kartik laughs once, hollowly.

" I already have everything I need , so I want nothing " says Kartik and turns to leave.

" Do you want to marry Naira? " asks Naksh suddenly.

Kartik stops in his tracks. He slowly turns back.

" What did you just say? " asks Kartik while  narrowing his eyes.

" I said that  You can marry Naira because now I will make it happen. But in return, I want you to agree to this collab , Please " says Naksh with a smirk.

Kartik stares at him in disbelief.

" Are you even her brother? How can you make deals on her marriage? What kind of man are you? " asks Kartik angrily.

Naksh shrugs.

" My business is important to me. My reputation matters more than anything else and you are not some bad person so I am sure My sister will be safest with you ,  " says Naksh plainly.
