I woke up another year older. I'm so blessed to see my 29th birthday. I can't believe I'm almost out of my twenties I feel so old. Time is going by a little too fast for me.
Beyoncé woke me up so we could spend the first part of the day together. We were currently out riding bikes, and I haven't had this much fun in so long.
"Girl, come on," Beyoncé called out ahead of me.
I laughed under my breath, trying to keep up. "I don't know why your long leg ass going so fast!"
She didn't even look back.
"Now you know damn well my legs are short. Why you rushing? Relaxxx." I laughed, shaking my head.
It was a beautiful morning, and I never knew how relaxing bike riding in the morning was. I might wanna start doing this often.
Beyoncé and I just rode around until she told me to follow her. We kept riding until eventually, we pulled up to this little cabana hut right on the edge of the beach. It had a big cabana bed and a small table already set with a tray of fruit. My heart smiled before I even stepped off my bike.
"Oh, this is nice," I said.
It was very intimate, and you could hear the waves of the water. I felt like this was very peaceful a perfect way to start off my birthday, just us two.
"Want a mimosa?" she asked, opening the bottle of champagne.
"Does a pussy spread when giving birth?"
She turned to me, wide-eyed. "What do you be saying? Like seriously, who says some shit like that?"
I laughed so hard my stomach tightened. "I'm just saying," I shrugged. "Anyways, yes I do. 2% orange juice, boo."
"Oh, you one of those."
"Those what?" I raised an eyebrow.
"Alcoholic."
"Being mean to me on my birthday is a sin, by the way," I said, pointing at her. She chuckled, pouring our drinks. Then she handed mine to me, and I immediately took a sip. Once she got hers, she sat down beside me.
"Happy birthday again, beautiful," she said, kissing the top of my head and rubbing my arm.
"Thank youuuu."
"How are you feeling, in this moment?"
I took a deep breath, looking around. "Honestly, I'm blessed. Last birthday, I was getting prepared to move here and start my career. I feel like every year I'm starting something new, so this year, I can't wait to see what happens for me." Then I looked up at her. "And for us."
She smiled, leaning down and pecking my lips. I smiled back and grabbed her chin, kissing her one more time.
