Narrator POV

(Y/N) had lead Giyuu up the hill she lived on. On the way, they didn't really speak to each other. Not that the girl had minded, she was just happy to have met a new person that she could possibly call a friend. The male on the other hand was questioning how and why was he being shown kindness, especially by someone whom he had never met before. Giyuu thought (Y/N) was quite interesting.

For starters, she seemed to have a genuine kindness to her, and he is glad that he took up her offer. But also for the fact that she didn't seem to look like anybody on the demon infested island they lived on. Sure he had met people with different hair colors and such, but he could always tell that they were Japanese.

On the way to her house, he too didn't mind the silence between them. But part of him wished he could strike up a conversation with her, just like he used to with an old friend of his. He deemed her as an approachable person, although he himself didn't believe he would have approached her even she hadn't bumped into him. And that she would approach him at all either. His negative thoughts came back and he cursed himself mentally for it. The girls thoughts on Giyuu were actually quite the opposite.

She deemed him to be quite an interesting person as well. From his strange looking uniform to his torn haori and his scabbard where assumingly his sword was supposed to be.

'I wonder what happened to him? Should I ask if has any injuries perhaps? I wouldn't be surprised if he did, considering the state his haori is in. He seems to have had a sword, I wonder what happened to it?'

(Y/N) let her thoughts wonder about the male and what he could have possibly been doing before she bumped into him.

------------------------------------------------------------

It was a bit after midday when (Y/N) and Giyuu arrived at her house.

"Welcome, Tomioka. Please make yourself comfortable, you may sit by my table where the cushions are. I will be right back, I just have to put my things away and get my sewing kit. I'll start on your haori right away!"

Giyuu went towards the table and cushions that she mentioned and sat down. He was surprised to find that they were quite comfortable. Giyuu watched (Y/N) bustle around her home, putting away her things that she had bought in the village (in some cupboards that she had) and then entering a room, probably to get the sewing kit she said she had. Sure enough she came back with it and she had taken off the purple scarf she wore. (Y/N) set her equipment on the table and then made her way to the fire place to put more wood in to warm up her house some more.

She turned around smiling at Giyuu and asked, "Can I offer you anything to drink, Tomioka? Tea perhaps?"

Giyuu answered back hesitantly, not wanting to trouble the girl even more.

"Yes, that would be quite nice actually."

(Y/N) nodded and started preparing some tea. She set a pot of water over the fire which had grown bigger. Then she got some tea leaves and put them in the pot to soak and get the flavor for the tea. After a few minutes it was ready, and (Y/N) poured herself and Giyuu the warm liquid.

Giyuu mumbled a small 'thank you' and (Y/N) smiled back in return.

"Now, if you don't mind, may I have a look at your haori?"

Giyuu had almost forgotten her original request as to why he agreed to come here. He complied and gave his half half piece of clothing to her.

"Incase you feel a bit cold without it, I can bring some blankets."

"It's alright, thank you for thought, (L/N)."

"Of course! And please, call me (Y/N), although I'm quite comfortable with formalities, I like to be addressed by my first name."
