The sun had dipped low, painting the sky with shades of dusky orange and muted greys, as Devyansh reached the location that had been sent to him anonymously.

The road was eerily quiet, the kind of silence that pricked at the back of your neck and whispered that something was off.

And then he saw it.

Her car parked on the side of a deserted, dusty path, surrounded by nothing but overgrown weeds and a suffocating silence.

His heart stuttered.
A cold chill ran down his spine.

Without wasting another second, He ran toward the vehicle, his footsteps echoing against the empty air. The car was unlocked. Wide open to the world.

He swung the door open, praying.. begging that she'd be inside. Maybe asleep, maybe just hiding, maybe even waiting to pull off a ridiculous prank.

But no.
The car was empty.

His eyes scanned the interior and that's when his breath hitched in his throat.

Lying on the seat was her purse. The familiar tan leather one she never left the house without. And right beside it..
A broken bangle.

A piece of her.
A piece of their last conversation.
A piece of goodbye.

His fingers trembled as he reached out to touch it. As if by holding that shard of glass, he could hold onto her.

Then he noticed something else. Something tucked beneath the purse.. partially hidden, almost as if it didn't want to be found easily.

A letter.

With a heart pounding like thunder, he slowly pulled the paper free. It felt heavy in his hands, even though it was only a single sheet. He unfolded it, hoping it would say anything.. anything that would make this feel less terrifying.

But all it had were two words.

"GOODBYE RAJVANSH!!"

That was it.

The world around him seemed to still. His vision blurred. His pulse screamed. And then..

BOOM!

He slammed his palm down on the car's bonnet so hard that the sound ricocheted into the emptiness around him. Anger. Helplessness. Fear. It all surged inside him like a storm.

But Devyansh Singh Rajvansh was not someone who gave up.

Not now.
Not when she was missing.

Clenching his jaw, he stepped back, forcing himself to breathe. Now is not the time to panic, Dev. You can break down later. Not now.

He immediately dialed Vuyan, the urgency in his voice shaking even the calmest of nerves.

Within minutes, he'd explained everything, every single detail and gave the one order that changed everything..

"Block the whole of Jaipur."

And Vuyan didn't waste a second.

Barricades were set up across the city. Every major route, every highway, every small alley.. monitored.

Police units were activated. Search teams dispatched. Every car, every bus, every auto-rickshaw was being checked.

But he couldn't sit back and wait.

He jumped into his own car and drove straight to the old industrial zone on the city's outskirts. the kind of place no one visited anymore. Ruined buildings, half-collapsed factories, and silent warehouses lined the road.
