Taehyung woke up to the gentle tug of fingers running through his hair. Jungkook was brushing it, his touch tender.
“Hey! Morning,” Jungkook greeted softly, leaning down to press a kiss to Taehyung’s cheek.
“Feeling better?” he asked.
Taehyung nodded, nuzzling closer into Jungkook’s chest. “Your scent calms me down.”
“I’m glad,” Jungkook smiled, voice warm. “Will you be okay doing tasks today?”
“I can manage. I’ll take suppressants,” Taehyung murmured.
“Are you sure?” Jungkook asked with a hint of concern. “Last night… it didn’t really help you.”
“I’ll be fine, really. I feel so much better now,” Taehyung reassured.
Jungkook nodded slowly. “I’m sorry that I had to…” He cleared his throat, avoiding eye contact. “But you were suffering so much... I couldn’t take it.”
Taehyung flushed at the memory, his ears tinged pink. “Umm… it’s fine. You just did it to help me.”
“Yeah, but I promised we’d take it slow…” Jungkook sighed. “The situation kind of ruined that plan.”
Taehyung let out a soft chuckle. “Don’t worry, I’m fine. It’s not like you forced me or anything.”
Jungkook smiled and leaned in to kiss him.
“Ugh, morning breath!” Taehyung whined, scrunching his nose.
“Who cares?” Jungkook grinned, pulling him closer and stealing another kiss.
They eventually pulled away.
“We need to shower. We stink,” Taehyung said, making a face.
Jungkook nodded in agreement. “Should we shower together? You know… save water and stuff?”
Taehyung raised a brow.
“I’ll take that as a no,” Jungkook laughed, pecking him on the cheek with a sheepish grin.
“You are one smooth talker, aren’t you, Jeon Jungkook?” Taehyung muttered, eyeing him suspiciously as he sat up against the headboard.
“Am I?” Jungkook blinked innocently, lips forming a pout. “I don’t know… I’m just an innocent little bean.”
“Innocent bean, my ass,” Taehyung scoffed, rolling his eyes as he pushed the blanket off and stretched. “I’m showering first.”
Jungkook watched him walk toward the bathroom, a fond smile playing on his lips. “Take your time, drama queen,” he called after him, earning an eyeroll in return.
As the sound of running water filled the room, Jungkook sat up and glanced around. The bedsheets were crumpled beyond salvation, the pillows were halfway off the bed, and the entire room smelled heavily of Taehyung’s lingering pheromones—a heady, intoxicating mix that even Jungkook was starting to feel a bit dizzy from.
He scratched the back of his head and winced. Yeah… this wasn’t going to air out on its own.
Sighing, Jungkook picked up the phone and called room service.
“Hi, yeah… this is room 0130. Can we have someone come up to change the sheets and freshen up the room? Thanks.”
He quickly pushed the twin beds together with all his energy. Not long after, a housekeeping staff arrived. Jungkook opened the door, rubbing his neck awkwardly as the woman stepped in. The moment she caught a whiff of the pheromone-drenched air, she paused, her eyes narrowing slightly in amused disapproval.
