A bird chirped outside the apartment, signalling the arrival of early morning. The sky was clear despite being veiled in a light mist. The clock on Kichiko's bedroom wall ticked steadily, showing 6 o'clock. Cath Palug, blinking sleepily, stretched his back with a long yawn.

"Fou-Fou," he murmured, his small paws nudging the girl's cheek to wake her.

"Mmm... Hold on," Kichiko mumbled, rubbing her eyes and stifling a yawn.
Carefully, she sat up in bed and reached for her phone on the bedside table.

There were no notifications or messages from her uncle or aunt. The network was working fine, but it seemed they had forgotten her. Perhaps they were too focused on their own family.

"...Who cares," she muttered with a sigh. "At least I'm not bothering them. I'll just go make breakfast."

As she got up, her gaze fell on the Book of Paracosm, now transformed into a pendant bracelet. She picked it up and examined it thoughtfully. Yen Sid's words about the book echoed in her mind, but they didn't seem to pose any harm. Shrugging, she fastened it around her left wrist and left the bedroom, with Fou trailing behind her and leaping onto her right shoulder.

"Now I understand why Mashu likes you so much. You're always there for her, aren't you?" Kichiko smiled, feeling a little more cheerful as she patted the little beast's head. "If you need to return to your owner, it's okay. I wouldn't want to trouble you, especially since you're part of the game whenever the player decides to play."

Fou purred contentedly, sounding like a cat, as Kichiko stroked his head.
Once they arrived in the kitchen, the modern design, resembling that of a five-star apartment, was immediately apparent. Everything ran on electricity, including the sleek stoves. Opening the refrigerator and kitchen shelves, Kichiko found various food, drinks, and snacks. Oddly enough, every item had a barcode indicating an expiration date set for next year.

"Hm, I guess I'll have cereal and milk for breakfast. What about you, Fou-kun?" she asked, glancing at him.

Fou pointed toward the bread and butter, clearly wanting toasted bread.

"Sure! I'll make some for you," Kichiko said with a grin before setting to work on the toast.

All the apartment rooms that Kichiko is staying in now are perfect. But she still needs to get used to living here alone and being accompanied by Fou. She carries a tray of bowls of milk cereal, a glass of warm milk tea, and a plate of toasted bread for Fou to the balcony. To see the view of this world's scenery in the morning. It is such beautiful scenery from the balcony apartment she is now, the balcony is filled with a view of a mini garden with plants of flowers and berries. While eating their breakfast, her phone starts ringing like someone is calling her, but the number is unknown. Dunno who it is as she picks up the call. "Hello? This is Kichiko Tomiko," she answers.

"Ah, Hi! Good morning. Sorry if I called you all of a sudden and didn't mean to bother your breakfast time. I'm Sari Sumdac. Today I'm going to pick you up at our headquarters. Every new fiction needs to sign up as part of fiction's neighbour, with a bonus of free signed-up for new jobs. I'll be at your apartment in 10 minutes. 'Fou~' Fou hops to her right shoulder as it nuzzles her lovingly. Kichiko giggles and feels like Fou wants to get spoiled by her after they finish eating breakfast.
