The next day, Umesh didn’t wait for fate to bring her back.

He went to the temple.

Sketchpad in hand. Sleepless eyes. A strange tug in his chest.

But Rani wasn’t there.

Only Mithoo.

Sitting quietly under the gulmohar tree, eyes closed, ears twitching like he was listening to the earth itself.

Umesh walked closer.

“Tum akele ho?” he whispered.

Mithoo didn’t move. Didn’t blink.

But something about his presence… felt aware.

Like he was watching with something beyond those bunny eyes.

Umesh sat beside him, unsure why.
“Main pagal toh nahi hoon… right?” he muttered.

---

🌕 Something shifted.

The air turned cooler. The sunlight dimmed for just a moment.

And then — it happened.

Mithoo lifted his paw... and placed it gently on Umesh’s hand.

---

> 🌌 The world vanished.

The gulmohar faded.
The mandir melted.
The sky bent around him.

Suddenly, Umesh was standing in a glowing white field — petals floating in the air like tiny moons. No sound, no gravity, just… peace.

And then a voice echoed — not Rani’s, not his, not even Mithoo’s.

A deep, ancient whisper:

> “Chandra Van mein tumhara swagat hai.”
("Welcome to the Moon Grove.")

---

Umesh turned wildly.

Mithoo stood in the middle of the glowing dream — no longer just a bunny. His form shimmered. His eyes were pure light.

Umesh tried to speak, but the vision shattered.

---

⏳ Back in the real world.

Rani found Umesh lying unconscious under the gulmohar tree.

“Mithoo!” she shouted, running to him.

Umesh’s eyes fluttered open.

He looked at her… dazed.

And said just one word:

> “Chandra...”

---

> Some truths don’t arrive loudly. They whisper through dreams, rabbits, and stardust.
