Rumi POV
There are times when I can manage certain personalities in a space filled with anonymous people. Celebrities, my fans and whatnot. I have patience. I don't stick to aggressive behavior, and violence is going to be the last option if everything goes down.
But, I can't stress this enough when these two meatheads keep hogging him. It's genuinely pissing me off to the point where I could just yank their hair one by one.
After successfully meeting Fang back at his University, in which I suggest that we have a discussion regarding his personal life, and his experience throughout the award show back then, thankfully he politely accepted my offer, knowing that I'm only curious.
And so here I am, sulking in the corner of the limousine while Mira and Zoey go back to back, yapping on either side of him. And what gives me even more discomfort is that he's not even bothered, literally not one bit! It's like he's actually enjoying the attention!
But despite all this... I guess it's fine. He's probably never gotten this much closure with other artists, knowing the industries dark background and all the weird assumptions we've been hearing. I'll at least accept this moment... For now.
"So, have you ever been in a relationship, cutie? I bet you got ladies lining up back there~." In all my life, I've never seen Mira this flirtatious to anyone, not even to specific bodybuilders back at our local gym.
"Not really. Nonetheless, I appreciate the compliment." Oh, you poor soul, you don't have to encourage her.
"Really?! What about secret admirers? Have you encountered one before? Like, love letters and stuff?" Zoey curiously questions back.
"Oh, quite a lot, that's for sure. I've had... My fair share of quality letters. Genuine and... Traumatizing ones." His expression after he stated the truth gave me a shiver that he must've felt right about now. I felt bad, cause I can deeply sympathize that kind of experience.
"Hmm, interesting. Wanna share them with us then?" Noticing his visible concern on the topic, I decided to dismiss this unnecessary act. Sitting closer and signalling them to stop. Fortunately, they did as I told them to.
"My apologies, Y/N. They can be a bit... Unhinged."
"No, that's fine. You girls wanted to know, so I'll answer everything that I can." He smiles, with a wave of polite dismissal. I genuinely think he's acting cute on purpose.
"Right, we appreciate that. Now, how about we ask you more personal ones. Are you okay with that?"
"Yeah, of course. What topic are we talking about?" With a deep breath, I ask.
"How long have you been writing music? In all honesty, it feels like you have much more experience than the three of us combined."
"Hmm... Great question. I've only been writing for almost a year, or two. My first single that I uploaded wasn't the performance back at the award show. You can look it up later." He answers, truthfully.
"Wait, so you mean to tell us you're... Practically new to producing songs?"
"Yeah, I guess you can say that. Why ask?" With a slight chuckle.
"Well... How? I mean, we're talented, you're talented, that's nothing new. But, it's just the fact you can create singles by yourself is... Honestly overwhelming."
A sheepish chuckle left out of his mouth, rubbing his head in slight embarrassment.
"Thank you for the compliment. I mean... There are other artists who are definitely better than I am though." He humbly stated, which I reciprocated.
