"Didn't we like just have a party for your retirement a few weeks ago?" You asked Tengen with a sigh as Hinatsuru handed you a glass of juice while you bowed your head in gratitude.
Tengen had invited all the Hashiras and the street light squad to his retirement party since they had finally healed now from their last fight.
So then why were you here? You were here as Shinobu's plus one, which you and Shinobu hazardly decided to get Tanjirou to make Kanao his plus one.
"That was a celebratory sleepover for survive a fight against a Uppermoon. This is a retirement party. There's difference." Tengen clarified sternly.
Well, that's what he called it. But Shinobu told you it was, "Tengen's Retirement Hate Party", which was what the other Hashira's named it.
Reason? They were going to bully Tengen throughout the whole thing. And you, of course, planned on joining in on the hating part.
"Just sounds to me like you're overworking your wife's while being useless since, y'know, you're crippled now." You replied as Tengen immediately gasped.
"How dare you! Do you know who did all this decorating?! It wasn't my wives!" Tengen exclaimed in a defensive tone.
"It was me!" Rengoku popped up between both you and Tengen, arms crossed over his chest proudly with a wide smile.
"... So he still didn't do anything either way." Aoi muttered to you as you nodded in response, she had come as Sanemi's plus one. Cooking student privileges.
"Seems so, didn't bother to give his wives any credit either." You added in a judgmental tone, one Shinobu, Muichiro, and Obanai had spent hours trying to teach you.
"Oi! Have some respect kids! And I did help, I, planned!" Tengen declared proudly. Silence.
"That's it?" Genya asked, who had come as Gyomei's plus one. "Did you actually help to decorate or...?"
"Hey! Watch your tone! Of course I helped decorate!" Tengen defended.
"Why should he? You're not even his superior anymore, since you retired. Since slaying demons became too hard for your armed one eyed ass." Obanai chimed in.
"... I'm still your elder!" Tengen pointed at Genya, glaring down at him with narrowed eyes- oh. Never mind, he only has one.
"I didn't even say anything this time."
"Didn't you say last time that you're not old? What happened to that now?" Muichiro joined in the bullying, spawning behind you and Genya and you both instantly screeched.
"Do you have nothing better to do than just spawn behind people?!"
"Oh, so you remember that but not that I asked you to help me decorate for this party? And I am not old! But I'm still your elder." Tengen proudly explained. Perfectly reasonable.
"... Who are you again?" Muichiro tilted his head at Tengen.
"Wow, this little bi-" Kanao panickingly clasped her hand over your mouth before you could insult Muichiro in front of Sanemi as Sanemi immediately glared at you.
"Bi-sexual! Yes, that's all she was going to say... Bi-sexual..." Kanao quickly blurted out the first thing that came to mind, avoiding Sanemi's piercing gaze.
"... I'm not bi-sexual." Muichiro clarified, before his gaze slowly trailed down, arms still crossed but one arm going to his mouth with his index finger curled at his lips. "Or am I..."
"So Tengen, how does it feel to know someone younger than you is already mature enough for a kid while you're old and married and still the child." Shinobu asked with a polite smile.
