Hey Casey," Nate said in the hallway, smiling like nothing had happened.
Did he really just act like nothing happened last night? After what he tried to do?
"We should hang out again soon," he added casually.
My stomach twisted. I could feel Izzie's eyes on me from a few steps away. She didn't know. Not yet.
But how the hell do I tell her the truth... without losing her forever?

In the dream, I kissed her.
Her lips were warm, soft, just right. "I like you so much, Newton. More than just as a friend," she had said.
I woke up with my heart pounding. My head was still resting on Izzie's shoulder, her breath brushing against my cheek.
"Iz, are you still there?" I whispered hoarsely.
"I'm here," she replied softly.
I could feel my heartbeat, loud and heavy in my ears. What was that just now? A dream?
