Path to Deicide: Light of the Last War

1 – Three Years of Quiet (Truth‑or‑Dare Reunion)

Three calm years had passed since the fall of Terminus. Most heroes drifted back to their own worlds, meeting only in pairs or trios. 
On this particular afternoon, four originals—SL4SH, Fatal Error, Requital, and Majin—gathered for old‑times' sake in a breezy clearing, sharing snacks and a rowdy game of Truth or Dare.

Majin → SL4SH (Truth)

Majin: "Rumor says you've got a crush. True?"
SL4SH (scarlet): "...Yes—fine—it's Wacky. Happy?"
Laughter echoed through the trees.

SL4SH → Fatal (Dare)

"Let your glitch‑slaves take a full day off."
Fatal sighed, but agreed—"They could use a break."

Majin → Requital (Truth)

"Why do you always look bored?"
Requital: "Most things simply... aren't fun."
Majin vowed to fix that.

Requital → Majin (Truth)

"Why are you so happy all the time?"
Majin (deep breath): "BECAUSE FUN IS INFINITE!"
Ear‑plugs were regretted.

The laughter stopped when a new voice echoed the same line—"I would have to agree."

Black clouds twisted overhead.

 2 – Terminus Returns

Lightning split the sky; Terminus descended, cloak rippling.

Before anyone could attack, he unleashed a shock wave. Fatal—being pure glitch—absorbed the blast and dove aside, but SL4SH, Requital, and Majin were trapped in crackling cages. Fatal opened a portal and escaped to warn the others.

3 – The Snare Tightens

Across fragmented lands, Terminus began his silent conquest. His targets were scattered. Isolated. Vulnerable.

Encounter Result:

SL4SH, Fatal, Requital, Majin – Hanging out together. All stunned and captured—except Fatal, who absorbed the shock and escaped. SL4SH, Requital, Majin captured

Devoid – Tricked by an illusion of his own dark realm Captured

Picopine – Stalked and ambushed from the shadows Captured

Luther & Chaotx – Cornered while eating at a local restaurant Captured

PM Sonic – Attacked Terminus head-on, but overwhelmed after a pulse lock fried his movement Captured

Hog & Faker – No time to transform, both seized Captured

Rewrite Prime – Ambushed with headphones still on Captured

NMI & Antposter – NMI shielded Antposter from a blast; Fatal portaled Antposter out in time NMI captured

Ryxie & Wacky – Confessing crushes when caged suddenly Captured

Stunky – Fooled by "Free Milk" bait Captured

Sanic – Darted, danced, and dodged; Fatal portaled him out just in time Escaped

By the end of the assault, 16 had fallen, sealed in dark energy cages, transported to the fortress of black glass. Terminus marched them inside with a grin.

"That's... 80% of the pack. That's my math. Heh. Good enough to start Phase Two."

4 – Prison Questions

Cages lined a vast dark hall. The captured heroes fired questions—How did you survive? What do you want? Terminus gave only one answer:

Terminus: "Phase Two begins soon. You'll understand when the strings tighten."

Part 5 – Four on the Run

In a barren canyon, the fugitives regrouped:

Fatal Error

Satanos

Antposter

Sanic

(plus Bullet, who'd followed Fatal through the portal)

Fatal's code‑scan showed only a 5.83 percent chance Terminus could have survived the Gem's blast—yet here he was.

They needed a miracle.

Part 6 – The Newspaper Clue

Sanic produced a fragile, yellowed newspaper he'd once found:

"Legendary Hero Dwells Beyond the Valley—Guardian of Forgotten Worlds."

Sanic: "Maybe myth, but it's all we've got."
Satanos: "Could be a wild‑Chao chase."
Antposter: "We're out of options."

Decision made, Fatal folded the map inset on the back page.

Fatal (pointing): "First stop—Hill Valley. If a hero's out there, we'll find him."

Packs tightened, portal sparks flickered, and the four survivors dashed toward the unknown—knowing twenty lives (and perhaps every timeline) now hinged on a rumor.
