"Err, well --" Al said sheepishly turning away.

Mum who had taken that unfortunate time to drink her pumpkin juice, choked, spluttered, and resurfaced from her drink coughing violently.

"Mind you -- this is 25 years in the future," Al said in a cautious tone.

"Wow," mum whispered hoarsely. "I have three kids?" She asked looking hopefully at us.

"Oh how lovely," Grandma Weasley said dabbing her eyes with Professor Mcgonagall's handkerchief. "Whose the father?"

None of us replied. I could feel the tension mounting. I wet my lips distractedly. Hopefully no one pokes out anyone else's eyes.

James smirked. "The one and only Boy Who Lived!"

The entire living room seemed to explode before my eyes. Uncle Fred and George jumped out of their seat yelling, "MERLIN'S BEARD!"

Uncle Bill's eyes were the size of saucers as he attempted to digest the information.

Uncle Charlie chuckled and yelled "To Harry!" whilst lifting his pumpkin juice and bumping it with thin air, before returning to his seat. No one seemed to pay him any attention.

Albus Dumbledore smiled kindly, the ever - present twinkle in his sharp, blue eyes.

Headmistress Mcgonagall cracked a smile -- an actual smile! Her eyes were glazed over with tears and I couldn't help but stare at her in shock.

Amidst all the havoc, grandmum Weasley jumped into grandpa's arms.

There were victorious shouts, tears, and embraces all around.  I didn't miss the look of understanding that passed between Sirius Black and Remus Lupin.

Dad had always told us how they'd both watched out for him. In some ways, they'd been the parent figures in his life that he'd never had; a shoulder to cry on -- a person he could confide all his troubles in. This was their way of acknowledging that the boy who they mutually cared about and loved was going to make it through the war.

Us, the three of us, were proof that Harry Potter, the boy who lived would live and get the ever so promising future this generation is striving for! I quickly wiped a stray tear rolling from my cheek. It was a pity that these men didn't get to watch dad get married or have children. Mum was really right -- the war really did have a strong, tragic grip on them all. I hadn't realized just how significant or real this war was till the very moment I was standing in The Burrow's living room of 1995, staring at the very many brave soldiers we'd lost in the war. Staring at family.

I turned to mum and dad to judge their reaction. Mum looked as though she was choking on pumpkin juice again and dad resembled an antelope being chased by a herd of cheetahs. His face was a bright shade of red and his mouth was twisted oddly.

"Wow... kids," he coughed.

Aunt Hermione didn't look as surprised though. She had a rather large smile on her face and a knowing expression.

Uncle Ron looked dumbfounded. Slowly, he turned to dad.

"Wow... well I guess you better than anyone else mate," he finally spluttered.

Dad smiled -- but it looked more pained than genuine.

I really wanted to introduce Drew at this point, but everyone was still embracing each other and wiping their tears of joy. Finally when everyone calmed down, Drew stood up.

"Uh I guess I should introduce myself now," he said looking nervous. I didn't blame him. "My name is Drew and I'm also a Gryffindor. I'm the same age as Lily. Herbology's my favorite, favorite, favorite subject. I guess you can say it comes naturally," he shrugged nonchalantly. "Oh and my parents are Hannah Abbott and Neville Longbottom."

"Oh that really is something Longbottoml!" Professor Mcgonagall said, surveying Drew over her spectacles.

"You've got Hannah's eyes!" Uncle Fred called.

"And Neville's jaw structure," Uncle George chimed in.

"And you're dating my, uh daughter," dad coughed. He didn't look mad or anything, just uncomfortable.

Oh gosh, please not this again.

"Err yeah," Drew said sheepishly.

"Well that's all for introductions," Lucy said hurriedly. I gave her a thankful expression.

"Alright fine," Lupin said looking serious once again. "Can you tell us the story? How did Voldemort get defeated?"

The temperature seemed to drop a hundred degrees. I almost wished we were still talking about Drew. Almost.

"Yes," Dumbledore said sitting straighter, clasping his long, thin hands together. "Enlighten us. How did this happen?" He stroked his beard thoughtfully.

"Well, Voldemort made horcruxes," James stated simply-- but the reactions were immediate.

Dumbledore's expression turned blank, whilst Professor Mcgonagall looked utterly shocked. Grandma and Grandpa Weasley looked absolutely horrified and disgusted. Everyone else looked confused.

"I suspected as much," Dumbledore muttered.

"Horcruxes?" Aunt Hermione asked.

"Horcruxes Ms. Granger, are objects that trap pieces of one's soul. It is one of the most dark and ancient forms of magic to exist. Perhaps the darkest," Dumbledore explained.

"That's insane! Why would anyone--?" Tonks started, but was cut off immediately by James.

"He did it to become immortal. It never worked though. Dad, Aunt Hermione, and Uncle Ron hunted down the seven horcruxes and destroyed them. Dad, himself single - handedly took on Voldemort and defeated him," he dead - panned.

Hushed silence.

Dad looked absolutely shocked.

"That's a lot for three teenagers. When does this all happen?" Grandma Weasley asked slowly.

"They're 17. Things got really bad though. The death eaters infiltrated the Ministry and Hogwarts. They were gone for almost 9 months."

"Oh my babies," Grandma Weasley cried.

Everyone in the room was looking at dad with utmost respect. Dad just looked confused.

"Alright, enough of this! I get that this is all exciting and all, but we reaaaaaaaaally need a way to get home. Everyone's probably flipping right now. And Ted and I are responsible! Is there anyway we could get to them?" Victoire turned to Dumbledore with hope filled eyes.

Dumbledore was silent for awhile before speaking.

"Actually there is one way," he finally said with a serene expression. "There is a allocus charm which enables one to see and speak to the one they want to see the most. I am not sure, however if it will work between time frames, but I see no harm in trying."

There was an outburst of speech as everyone turned to each other at once and started talking animatedly.

Drew and I shared a worried glance. Mum and dad were probably worried sick at home.

I hope this works. I really do.
