The Rajput mansion corridor was too quiet. Too sterile. Too cruel.

Dhruv Rajput sat in the corner of his room, his broad shoulders hunched, his shirt wrinkled, his eyes bloodshot. His little boy, barely two months old, slept peacefully in his arms, oblivious to the storm that had shattered his father's world. Dhruv's fingers trembled as he brushed the baby's cheek, his jaw clenched so tightly it hurt.

"Why?" His voice cracked, a whisper no one would hear.

Just an hour ago, his wife - the woman he had once thought was his forever - had stood before him, her face calm, her tone merciless.

"I don't feel anything for you, Dhruv. Not for you, not for this child. I was never yours. I love him... and I'm leaving. Please Don't stop me."

The words replayed in his head, stabbing deeper each time. Two months of sleepless nights, of fighting court cases by day and rocking his newborn by night, of thinking they were finally becoming a family - and it had all been a lie. She had cheated not once, but countless times. And the cruelest truth? She wanted nothing to do with their baby.

Dhruv tightened his hold on his son, pressing his lips against the tiny forehead.

"You're all I have left. You're my strength, buddy. I swear, I'll never let you feel unloved."

Ishita Ranawat lay on the thin bed, her body weak, stitches still aching from the difficult birth. Her eyes were swollen from tears, her arms curled protectively around the fragile bundle at her side - her newborn daughter, Vamika.

She had thought the worst was over when she survived the critical pregnancy. She had prayed her husband would hold their baby and smile, that maybe... just maybe... she would finally be accepted. Instead, the man who was supposed to be her strength had looked at the crying infant with disgust.

"A girl? That's all you could give me?"

He spat, his voice dripping venom.

"The doctor says your chances of conceiving again are low. You've failed me, Ishita. You've failed my family."

And with those words, he walked away. Left her bleeding, broken, and alone.

Ishita clutched her daughter tighter, her tears wetting the baby's blanket. You're not a failure, Vamika. You're my reason to breathe. They may not want you, but I will. Always.

Two different nights. Two broken hearts.
A man betrayed by love. A woman abandoned by family.
Both holding onto the only piece of light left in their darkness - their children.

Neither of them knew that destiny had already written their next chapter.
Neither of them believed in second chances.
But sometimes... second chances find you.
