Save me please

"Yo! Good morning guys!" Kakashi greeted, causing Sasuke and Sakura to jump in fright. Naruto just flinched but didn't show any further reactions. Kakashi scanned the group casually to try and hide the fact that he had caught Naruto's flinch and was trying to analyse why Naruto flinched at such things. "Y-you." Sakura stuttered, unable to get her words out.
"You're early." Naruto said, helping Sakura. It lacked the usual loudness and annoying-ness, causing the rest of Team 7 to turn and gawk at him instead. "What?" Naruto asked, not liking the attention one bit. Kakashi decided to help him by announcing they have a mission with Gai. "Well that's a coincidence." Naruto mumbled. The mission was to bring scrolls to Kumogakure then bring whatever scrolls Kumogakure  wants Konoha to bring back. "What's a coincidence?" Sasuke asked quietly. Naruto looked at Sasuke before gesturing for him to move closer. Naruto whispered in his ear about what they were previously talking about. This gives Lee plenty of opportunities to ask Sakura out.
Why are you playing matchmaking, kit?
Because!... When I leave this world, I want them to have at least someone to comfort them and not be alone. Naruto whispered to Kurama, who just cringed at what Naruto was thinking about. Naruto thinks that he might either be beaten to death or death by suicide. But the both of them knew, they knew the latter has a slightly smaller chance than the former. Only by a tiny bit, their chances of happening are just millimetres apart.
"How long is the trip?" Naruto asked excitedly. He fake happy demeanour all back and full forced. "Two weeks."
"Yassss!! I'm going to pack! See ya!" Naruto shouted and zoomed off, leaving his team in his dust.
"What is wrong with him?" Sasuke asked, worried for his best friend.
"I don't know... It's the apocalypse, I guess. Naruto having any other mode other than happy," Sakura said, "he's such an idiot! Making us all worry! Hmpft. He can't even take care of himself properly, why should we take care of him? This is ridiculous! He must be in one of his stupid 'I want to become hokage' mode but realises he can't make it." Sasuke and Kakashi glared, they both knew Naruto wasn't those type of people. There must be something wrong! I'll find out one way or another. Were the thoughts of both sharingan users as they delivered one last glare at Sakura and a 'see you later' look at one another before going their separate ways. Sakura was quivering from the look but she quickly recovered to go home to pack for the trip.

"You're late Baka!!" Sakura screeched, making Tenten, Neji and Sasuke to twitch at how Sakura is treating her teammate. Lee was just too focused on how he wants to ask Sakura to a date. Naruto rolled his shoulders to hide his flinch. Why am I always flinching for kami's sake?! Naruto thought to himself as he blinked at Sakura. "I was here way before you guys were." Naruto grumbled but everyone heard him. Kakashi and Gai heard him too from their hiding spot to observe for a bit the two team's interactions.
"Huh?! Don't be ridiculous! I was here after Neji, Tenten and Lee, and then Sasuke came! You couldn't have possibly come before us!" She screeched annoyingly. Maybe because I didn't need to pack as I always have every single of my belongings with me? Naruto thought to himself as he rolled his eyes mentally and plopped down against the gate, choosing not to start a fight with Sakura. Sakura huffed and crossed her arms before she started to ranting about how stupid Naruto was.
Neji, Tenten and Sasuke ignored Sakura as they observed their comrade. Naruto was looking out towards the forest with his knees tucked near his chest with his hands clenched so hard into a fist that his knuckles are turning white and his nails dug crescent moons into his palm and blood leaked out. Naruto seem to not notice it as his eyes had a faraway look.
"Hey Naruto?" Tenten called out, unsure about how Naruto would react. Naruto didn't respond at all, maybe he did not hear her. Naruto jumped when Tenten came over to touch his shoulder. "What's up?"
"Your hand is bleeding." Tenten simply said before pulling out a roll of bandage and then started to wrap Naruto's hand despite his protest of being fine. "Thank you Tenten." Naruto said before looking into the direction of where Gai and Kakashi were hiding. The two looked at each other, both having the same thought running through their heads. Did he spot us?! How???
Naruto looked at them before his mouth moved subtly. "I see you." Naruto mouthed. The two jonins sighed and got out from their hiding spot. "Hello guys. Are you guys ready?" Choruses of yes emitted from them, making the two sensei nod and start walking to start their journey to Kumogakure.
Tenten and Naruto walked together while Neji and Sasuke walked together. The rest flanked around in a loose circle. Kakashi was reading his book whilst Gai was talking to Lee to try encourage him to confess to Sakura and ask her out. Sakura was just sulking that her Sasuke is choosing to talk to Neji instead of his own teammate. Naruto and Tenten was walking a little further in front of the entire group. Neji and Sasuke walked behind them, trying to analyse what was wrong with Naruto together and to observe his actions. Tenten was trying to start a small conversation with Naruto to try get to know him after she realised that she has never really talked to Naruto. She knows he was a prankster and a very loud bubbly hyperactive knuckle head ninja. She knows that he was always the last in school but from what she has observed, he doesn't look like what his grades says he is. They have managed to start a small conversation but Tenten had learned absolutely nothing about Naruto except for the fact that she was the one giving out information instead.
When they settled for the night in a cave, Naruto was still chatting quietly with Tenten and they both observed that Lee had finally plucked up the courage to start a conversation with Sakura first for her to get to know him and vice versa before he decides to jump into a relationship with an unknown, just like how Naruto had suggested he do.
"So I've heard you're very good at space time ninjutsu." Naruto said. The two jonins and the two prodigies listened in on their conversation whilst pretending to be doing something else. "Yeah! I love it! Especially the weapons that I would come across during missions. Sometimes I would bring them back, with permission of course, to play with them." Tenten said with enthusiasm.
"Can you show me?"
"Of course!" Tenten said, excited about the prospect that someone is interested. She pulled out a scroll that contains her bedroll and slipped a little chakra in, the bedrolls poofed into existence. "Speaking of bedrolls. Where is your things? You bag is so small, Naruto." The four quiet eavesdropper's heads snapped towards Naruto's pack resting on his lap. It looked a little big on him but think about it. Naruto is tiny for his age, that means the pack must be small, it wouldn't be big enough to fit the bed roll. Naruto eyed them all in exasperation. How big do they expect his things to be? How do I save myself from explaining? Naruto dug into his bag and pulled out a bed roll. Nice save kit. Kurama complimented. Naruto had unsealed it in his bag discreetly before pulling out the bed roll. They all eyed him suspiciously, that bed roll somehow looks bigger than his bag... They were all interrupted from saying anything when Sakura said the food was ready. What is wrong Naruto? Why wouldn't you tell us anything?
