AUTHORS POV

🟨 ROOM 3 — TEAM THREE (Media & Presentation)

Room 3 was supposed to be the calm room.

It failed immediately.

Felix dragged a chair to the front like a stage. “WELCOME, EVERYONE, TO TODAY’S EPIC PRESENTATION PRACTICE—”

“Sit,” Jennie said flatly.

Felix sat.

Yuri adjusted the projector cable, focused, composed. “Alright. Our task is media flow and final presentation. Jennie and I will present—visual narrative, data explanation, and delivery.”

Jennie nodded. “We’ll split it. Yuri covers technical explanation, I’ll handle storytelling and transitions.”

Mykel smiled instantly. “Your voice carries really well, Jennie. You’ll be great.”

Yuri’s hand paused on the remote.

Just for half a second.

Felix noticed. His eyes sparkled. Drama detected.

Shawn leaned back. “As long as it looks professional, I’m good.”

Mica raised her hand shyly. “I can help with slide design and color theory.”

The door creaked open.

Calix casually leaned in. “Did someone say color theory?”

Mica’s face lit up. “Calix!”

Yuri frowned slightly. “Why are you here?”

Calix grinned. “Mica asked for moral support.”

Mica nodded. “And emotional.”

Felix clapped. “LOVE STORY SIDE QUEST!”

Jennie smiled, amused, then looked at Yuri. “Ready?”

He nodded. “Always.”

They stood side by side at the front. Something about their alignment—calm, balanced—felt natural.

Jennie began. “Our presentation focuses on clarity. Media isn’t just visuals—it’s how information feels.”

Yuri clicked the slide smoothly. “We maintain eye contact, pace, and narrative rhythm. No clutter. No distractions.”

Mykel leaned forward. “You two work really well together.”

“Thank you,” Jennie said politely.

Yuri said nothing.

Felix whispered loudly, “He is DYING.”

Yuri shot him a look.

As Jennie explained a slide, Mykel stood and walked closer. “Maybe you should stand a bit more center—your presence pulls attention.”

Jennie hesitated.

Before she could respond, Yuri stepped half a pace closer to her. Not touching. Just there.

“She’s fine where she is,” Yuri said calmly.

The room went quiet.

Mykel blinked. “…Sure. Just suggesting.”

Jennie glanced at Yuri. “You okay?”

“Yes,” he replied instantly.

Felix mouthed, Liar.

Shawn smirked. “Jealous much?”

Yuri ignored him and continued. “Next slide.”

Calix leaned toward Mica. “He’s down bad.”

Mica giggled. “You think?”

Calix smiled softly. “I know.”

They worked through transitions. Every time Mykel complimented Jennie, Yuri’s tone grew sharper—but never rude. Controlled. Protective.

Jennie noticed.

When they paused, she leaned closer and whispered, “You don’t have to guard me.”

“I know,” Yuri whispered back. “I just… want to.”

Her heart skipped.

Felix gasped dramatically. “ROMANTIC WHISPERING IN CLASS 3!”

“Felix,” Jennie warned.

“Worth it.”

Calix helped Mica adjust the slide palette. Their shoulders brushed.

“Is this okay?” she asked.

“Perfect,” he said. “Like you.”

She blushed. “Calix!”

Mykel watched the room—then looked back at Jennie. “You know, we could practice together later. Just us.”

Yuri’s grip tightened on the remote.

Jennie answered gently but firmly. “I already have a partner.”

She looked at Yuri when she said it.

His breath caught.

Felix clutched his chest. “CONFESSION ADJACENT.”

Shawn laughed. “Game over, Mykel.”

Mykel smiled, accepting it with grace. “Alright. Fair.”

Yuri exhaled slowly.

They ran the presentation once more. This time, Yuri relaxed. Jennie’s confidence grew. Their timing synced perfectly—one spoke, the other anticipated.

When they finished, the room clapped.

Felix jumped up. “TEN OUT OF TEN. WOULD CRY AGAIN.”

Calix squeezed Mica’s hand quickly. She squeezed back.

Jennie turned to Yuri. “You did great.”

“You too,” he said softly. “I like presenting with you.”

She smiled. “Me too.”

Their fingers brushed accidentally.

Neither pulled away immediately.

Felix pretended to faint. “I can’t breathe.”

Yuri rolled his eyes—but smiled.

And in Room 3, between slides, jealousy, laughter, and unspoken feelings—

The presentation wasn’t the only thing that landed perfectly.

Something else did too.

Right in the heart
