Emmi's POV

I heard from Dad's office the Butler family was going to the gymnasium.

Let me guess, they're going to forget me. "Okay, so there's going to be... wait... Gavin, Avia, Brock, Daxton, Cooper, Gage, Winston, and Brailee. Is that correct?" I heard Mom ask.

It was a little quiet but Dad spoke up. "I thought my mom had 9 grandchildren... I guess not. But yes, that's all the kids."

Wow. Just wow. My own parents saying that. I didn't eat dinner, since they never had left overs. I walked to the kitchen and looked in the pantry. I saw some canned corn. I guess this will have to do.

I take it to the counter and opened it with a can opener.
I put it in a bowl and walked to my room. Mom past by me, of course ignoring me.

I enter my room and I ate my food. I left my bowl on my desk and decided to go to sleep.

The next morning I heard laughter coming from the kitchen. I got up and went to get some breakfast.

The family was eating eggs, bacon, and pancakes. But there was one open seat with a plate full of food. I walked over and almost sat down, but Gavin's friend, Kyle sat down.

I'm guessing that food isn't for me. I walked back to the kitchen and got a granola bar and a bottle of water.

I went to my room and ate my food. It wasn't enough for me to be full. I heard 2 knocks on my door. "Emmi, it's Avia. I have food for you." I got up from my bed and opened the door.

She had eggs and bacon. She handed it to me and I gobbled it down. "Thanks Av." I put my plate aside. "No problem. I got your back. By the way, we leave to the gymnasium in 20 minutes. I'm not sure if they payed for you. I tried telling them to, but the didn't know who you were."

I smirked. "Of course. I'm Emmi Butler. A nobody." (That is not my opinion in real life. I think Emmi is amazing.)

"Emmi Laurie Butler! Do not say that about yourself!" She scolded me, as if she was my mom. "Yeah yeah, get out, I'm going to change."

I pushed her out and she went to her room. I got changed in a tank top and shorts at knee height. I put a short sleeved Trixin shirt. I put on my black Vans, of course Aunt Kayli gave me.

I took one more look in the mirror. I heard Mom call out to get in the car. Luckily I was the first one in so I got a spot. Everyone else flooded in and Dad drove off. It wasn't a long drive so we got there pretty quickly.

Aunt Carlie, Cooper, and Jackson were there already. We just had to wait for Uncle Casey, Aunt Kayli, Brailee, Gage, and Winston. We got out of the car and talked about random things.

After about 5 minutes they came. I see Aunt Kayli smile at me. I smiled back and they came out. The kids and Uncle Casey walked past me and hugged the rest of the family. Kayli hugged me and I hugged back.

We got in the building and I was last of course. They all got in since Dad payed for all of them. I walked with them but the guard stopped me. "Hey! You aren't allowed! Only 8 kids were payed for, not 9." I wanted to cry. I hate my life.

I see them take off their shoes and started jumping around doing flips. There I was, crying my eyes out. People stared but I didn't care. I look back at them. I see Avia look at me but she got pulled away from Daxton.

I cried even harder. "Emmi..." A hand touched my shoulder. "Emmi, come here." Aunt Kayli hugged me really tight. "Don't worry. I'll pay for you." I smiled at her. "Thank you. For everything."

We walked to the desk and she payed. We walked into the gym and I took of my shoes. I started doing flips and tricks by myself. I did a back handspring but no one saw.

No one cared. No one noticed me. Everyone ignored me.

No body knew me.
