My Unexpected Mate

Chapter 24

"Another boy," The doctor said.

I sighed, glad it was over. 

"Er, Elijah, I need you to push," The doctor said, surprise in her voice. 

"What?" I asked. 

"Push!" She screamed urgently.

I pushed and pushed before more cries filled the room and my eyes widened. The doctor laughed breathlessely. 

"It's a girl." My heart swelled and my eyes became glassy with happy tears. 

The nurse walked over with my boys in her hands while the doctor cleaned my little girl. She handed one to Damon who looked scared which made me giggle. She handed the other to me and I practically ripped him from her grasp growling at her warniningly making her scurry away quickly. Then the pack doctor walked over and handed me my baby girl. 

I looked down at their sleeping figures and smiled. I was happy beyond belief. This is what I wanted for so long. A family. And I got one. Not only did I get the two boys I wanted but I got a beautiful little girl. When I looked up I saw that Damon was looking down adoringly at her and I giggled.

She was going to have him wrapped around her finger.

Damon's gaze went to me and he smiled, "She sure is," He said breathelessly making me giggle. 

"What are you going to name them?" Kristine asked. 

Now it was only Glen, Eleazar, and Kristine in the room with us. 

"Well, Damon is holding, Niklaus Ashton Kyleson. This one is Eleazar Damon Kyleson, and this," I gazed lovingly at my little girl, "This is Aiva Kristine Kyleson," I whispered. Kristine gasped and covered her mouth. I gave her a smile and turned to Eleazar who looked incredibly proud. 

The fatigue was catching up with me as I threw my head back on the pillow and closed my eyes. Giving birth was quite the job. After a while my family showed up and I guessed that was where Quin had gone. I hesitated when my mother asked their names. I knew her heart was going to break. 

"So, what are there names?" My real father asked. 

I awkwardly cleared my throat.

"This is Niklaus Ashton Kyleson. This... Eleazar Damon Kyleson," I said glancing at my parents faces. Both of their faces fell and a pang of guilt rang through my heart. 

"And Damon is holding, Aive Kristine Kyleson," I whispered looking down. I knew they would have heard me though. 

There was a growl and I snapped my eyes up to see- for the very first time -my mother's angry face. It was hard and cold, and it reminded me of Claire. I couldn't help but protectively bring my baby boys father under my arm. I growled back at her but her face didn't loosen up.

"How come you name your children after them and not us? They are not your real parent's, we are! They didn't raise you-"

"And you did?!" I cut her off. She fell silent and took in a deep breath before letting it out. 

"Don't, Sarah," Wesely said grabbing her hand. She ripped it from his hold and stormed out of the room. Wesely sighed and followed after her. Cory and Lucca though were still there with the biggest smiles on their faces. Seeming unfazed by Sarah's actions. 

Lucca walked forward and reached down to one of my boys. I growled at him only making him roll his eyes but pull back. 

"Calm down, mama bear," He said wrapping an arm around Cory's waist. 

I scoffed and nuzzled my baby boys who nuzzled me back. 

"Great, my strong son's are going to be mama's boys," Damon muttered earning a hit on the head from Kristine.

"You were a mama's boy," She said at the same time I said, "Damn right," Making us laugh out loud.

The pack doctor walked in and smiled, "Alright everyone out, mama wolf needs to rest," He said. He took my babies and set them in their cribs along with their baby sister. Everyone left except Damon who crawled into the bed with me.

I layed my head on his chest as he kissed the top of mine, "I thought you weren't going to wake up," I said quietly. 

"How long was I out?" He asked.

"Four months, Damon." I felt him stiffen under me.

"I'm so sorry baby," He murmured lifting my head and planting a lingering kiss on my lips. I sighed through my nose in content before pulling away.

"It's okay, I'm just gald you're okay."

"I heard you through the link. I panicked and was up in a second folowing your sobs and I saw you laying there in labour..." He trailed off and I pecked his lips. 

"I almost missed it El. I almost missed the birth of our children."

"But you didn't and that's all that matters," I said drifting off to sleep.
