The Toe-Rag and the Lily ? (COMPLETED)

Chapter 14

"You need a drink, Lils?"

I nodded. I don't think I could talk. I knew they liked each other, but seriously! In the corridors before class and with tongue. That was something I didn't need to see. I felt sick to my stomach.

"Jesus on a frickin' tricycle," I said.

James laughed.

"I'm a little shaken up if I don't say so myself."

"Yeah but... I feel so sick now. Ugh. What if they saw us making out in the corridor? What would they do then? Huh?"

"Well..."

"Hypothetically speaking, James."

"I expect they would say, 'about time'."

I shook my head and rolled my eyes. They probably would.

"But Sirius can't just make out with her in the middle of the corridor!"

"Lily, he's Sirius. He'll make out with a flobberworm in a corridor and not care what anyone would think."

I huffed in anger and disgust and took the glass from James' hands.

"Well, let's start planning, I need something to get my mind off of that... monstrosity."

He laughed.

"Ok invitations?"

I didn't think of that. Maybe not, because everyone here will find out about it. There's one every year.

"Nah, unless we keep it a surprise."

He had that glint in his eyes.

"Ok..." he said slyly. "Leave that bit to me."

I gulped audibly.

"Ok," I said. "But we're going to have to announce it soon, otherwise people won't know what to wear, girls are very particular about their clothes, James."

"Ok, so decorations."

"I'm thinking lots of pumpkins, carved and stuff, black tinsel, some fake bats, witches hats, bubbling cauldrons, stuff like that."

"Snazzy."

"So there's obviously going to be some tables set up around the room, so people can eat. Black table cloths and black chairs, the works. I'm going all out this year."

He laughed again. A warm laugh that touched every bone in my body. My god I was feeling romantic.

"You are having too much fun doing all this."

"Yeah..." I said dreamily. "Maybe it can be fancy dress, dressing up like banshees and trolls and were-vampires. Vampires are what I meant."

"Maybe Remus can dress up as a werewolf," he joked, completely ignoring my stuff up.

"And Sirius can dress up as a big black dog."

"That... would be horrifying."

I couldn't stop the smile that was spreading on my face. He was so good at making me smile, I wondered why I hadn't been friends with him earlier. However, my question was answered when a knock at the door revealed a sour faced Severus Snape.

"What!" I snapped.

"I wanted to speak to Potter," he spat.

"Not a chance."

James appeared behind me and a look of pure loathing appeared on his face.

"What to do you want?" he spoke slowly and dangerously.

"I wanted to speak to you," Snape replied just as dangerous.

"Well, I'm sorry if you don't mind, but we're busy."

"Busy making out? I suppose that's all you do now."

"Well you suppose wrong. But that doesn't mean you can stay, so piss off!" I said raising my voice with every word.

James pushed me aside gently and towered over a now cowering Snape.

"Leave us alone."

Snape ignored his comment. But what he did next surprised me. He punched James, so hard might I add, I swear heard something crack. But then again that may have been me cracking my knuckles nervously. So I acted on instinct. I punched Snape back. He was raising his fist, when James slapped him.

"Never ever raise your fist at Lily again. Ever."

AN: SO... how's it going everyone. 抖阴社区rs block is gone, thanks to a few helpful tips you guys left on the last chapter/update and I would like to dedicate this chapter to you guys who did comment with advice.

Also I would like to thank everyone who has read this and favourited, adding it to their library and reading lists. I'm going to make a new front cover soon, so if it changes don't be... alarmed? Stupid notification, stupid author. Anyways I'm actually still sick but, I'm sure I'll get over it. Also since you guys have been my most supportive lot of readers, I would like to let you all know that I completed an oral roughly two weeks ago. Orals are something that I'm not very good at and they give me major anxiety, and my teachers always say that its the same for other people, but I disagree, because nobody ever breaks down like I do, and I can't hold it together when someone so much as mentions an oral presentation. So I did it, and in front of what my school likes to call an 'accelerated class' which is where you fast-track a whole year ahead, so I did it in front of a whole class of people a year older than me. Anyway it was a big achievement for me, but I wasn't very happy with my mark, as I achieve A+'s in English, and my mark was a B. Comment and tell me what you think. And finally I would like to announce that I will be beginning a Jily One Shots book, so if you guys wanna check that out when I get around to it, go for it! I will be back C_hooper21.
