Different
Funny word isn't it?
Different.
I am... Different.
I know it. I show it. And they all tell me so.
They all know I'm different. They say I'm different.
But different is not the same as dangerous.
When I was the age of 8 I wiped out a quarter of our planet's population.
And look at me now. Different, Dangerous, Outcast.
The day before today was my last day on my planet. They're sending me to Earth. I'm exiled. Outcast. I don't know how to survive without our advanced technology. But that's not my choice.
My name is Atlas I am aged 16. My appearance is normal. I have green eyes, chestnut hair and a freckle covered face.
That day they had escorted me from my room. I went into their spaceship where they packed me into a pod. Before going in the pod they injected a shot into my neck to make me drowsy and lower the glow of my eyes in the dark. My powers gave my eyes a question raising glow, almost making me look radioactive. Instead of the normal spacesuit I was attired in a white toga. On our planet toga's are the only attire adolescent females are given. As I sat down in the pod the pod began to fill blue liquid. It covered my body and when it reached the top it stiffened turning into a giant blue bubble. The commander knocked on the window I was facing. She yelled but her voice was still faint.
"Do not let ANY humanoids know that you have powers or you will be sent back immediately for punishment. Do you understand my orders?"
I nodded in response. "I understand Commander."
"Excellent.... Send her off!"
I felt a rustle and I could hear a machine. They all watched and I felt myself being lifted out of the spacecraft. They saluted and smirked maliciously. The spacecraft doors closed and the pod began on its journey to Earth as the drowsiness washed over me, plunging me into a deep sleep.
