Before I knew she was the one

Alex POV

I was really annoyed to go to school today but I still went, it had been two weeks since Tobin and I met at the coffee place, our friendship was just saying hi and training.. It didn't go that far from that, we exchanged few words but that was it.

Except for today.

Today was different when I got to school Kelly was talking to Tobin. I was going straight to Syd when Hope grabbed my arm and pulled me to her.

H: "what's up with Tobin? What did you do to her, did something happened at the coffee place?" I was confused. What? What would I do to the girl if she was making things clear. She didn't wanna be near me.
A: "nothing, she's like a wall, I swear. I can't read her nor her emotions"
H: "she's acting super weird and when you show up she seem to always disappear"
A: "yeah..trust me I noticed, I don't know what her problem is..it's not like I wanna date her right now, like she says. I'm not even sure about me being gay or bi or whatever.. It's just her... And her lovely eyes and the way she plays soccer..it's beautiful it's like a work of art" the bell rang and stopped me.
Hope laughed at me while we walked together since we had this one class together.
H: "Alex, you are screwed, I know I'm not really the one for good advice but follow your feelings, love is love no matter if it's a girl or a boy" she was right but..
A: "it's not that what I'm afraid of, it's everything else..my parents, soccer, school, it's hard"
She nodded as we entered the room, we took our seats and the teacher began her boring lesson.

Tobins POV

I got to school and Alex wasn't there so I started talking to Kelly, since she's my best friend's girlfriend we've developed a really good relationship.

T: "I need to talk to you"
K: "good morning to you too Heath" I realized I was a little rude but I couldn't kept this for myself anymore.
T: "sorry Kell, I've an issue.." I said shyly.
K: "oh, miss badass has a problem, what is it?"
T:" your bestie..." I looked up and saw Alex walking towards Syd and the other girls, when Hope grabbed her and started talking to her. I wanted to listen but Kelly was all over me. I had a lot to explain but I didn't know how.
K: "Alex?" She said confused
T: "mmmhmm"
K: "what's wrong?" I took Kelly's arm as we started getting away from Alex.
T: " I .. I'm falling for her and I can't stop it I've been trying to avoid her but it's like we are magnets she's everywhere!" Kelly smiled and clapped her hands.
K: "omg this is sooo awesome" I could tell she was excited, I just didn't know why.
T: "how O'hara, how ?!!" I was desperate, but relieved at the same time. I finally let it out.
K: "you guys are perfect for each other!"
T: "little problem, I bet Alex hates me since I've been avoiding her so much"
K: "Tobs, talk to her. She's not as bad as you think, you don't have to get together with her, but get to know her.. If you don't try you are gonna regret it all your life" she was so right..
T: "damn squirrel where did you get such a good advice?"
K: "that's a secret"

The bell rang and we all went our separate ways. She was right though. I had to find a way to get to know her more. My first idea was at practice, but when we had to team up with someone she ran straight to Syd. It's like she was ignoring me now and it was killing me.
She didn't sit near me at any class and she even stopped saying hi to me. I had no idea what was going on but I knew it was my fault. I didn't wanna ask Kelly or Hope for help so one day after a few weeks I man up and waited for her on the parking lot.

I saw her car approaching to the parking lot, and I was nervous. I didn't know what I wanted to say but I needed to talk to her. My hands were sweating a little bit when she got off her car, I walk a little faster to catch up with her.

T: "hey Alex, can we talk?" I said scared.
A: "so now you wanna talk huh?"
T: "look, I'm sorry. I suck at this but you drive me crazy I don't know how to act around you. I didn't wanna scare you off but I guess I already did" I rambled and I couldn't really find the right words.
A: "it's fine Tobin but don't expect me to stick around when you ignore me all the time, I tried to be your friend."
T: "I know and I'm sorry but maybe I was super wrong and I wanna be more than your friend"
That slipped out my mouth and I thought I screwed up..again. I scratched the back of my neck nervously and looked down. There was a little silence and when I looked up and locked eyes with Alex I felt like I was going to die. She was smiling and then she got really close to me I closed my eyes, and she pecked the corner of my mouth.
A: "not your lucky day .. You'll have to convince me to give you another chance"

I stayed there and I couldn't move, she started walking towards the building until she got inside and I couldn't see her anymore.

My next step: make Alex give me a chance even if it's just as friends.
