Sorry, this chapter is very depressing and very long.
Draco cursed a volley of words since Harry decided to roll over in his sleep and trap Draco's wing under him. He tugged helplessly at the wing, yet didn't want to wake Harry up from his peaceful sleep. Draco sighed exasperated and muttered some more. He needed to use the bathroom and this was killing him. Harry was smiling and looking so happy that Draco refused to wake him up. Soon Madame Pomfrey came and saw his predicament and did her best to keep in her laughs.
"Oh dear, Seems you are having a problem," She whispered, chuckling.
"You think!?" Draco snapped quietly.
She just silently laughed some more.
"You are so much like Severus," She whispered, then she realized her mistake.
"It's ok," Draco pressured her, when he saw her panic. Draco had already forgave Snape during the punishment. He deserved it. Poor Snape. His Godfather did deserve a better godson.
"Well I could always wake Harry?" She offered.
"No. I will just have to suffer,"Draco smiled.
"Suit yourself," Madame Pomfrey walked out of the room. Draco waited and waited. Maybe he should have took up her offer. Finally Harry moved, but he just moved on top of Draco. Draco tried to get out but he was stuck. Crap! Draco thought angrily. That's when Draco finally gave up. He shoved Harry off him and Harry tumbled to the floor.
"Wait!! WHAT! How the fuck? Where am I!? What happened!" Harry called from the floor, sounding panicked. Oops, Draco smiled. He didn't mean to shove Harry clean off the bed but hey, Draco needed to use the bathroom. Draco raced to the restroom and sighed in relief when he got there. Harry must have figured out Draco's urgent emergency because his laugh was booming.
"Git," Draco muttered.Unlucky for them they would still have to go to classes, and also unfortunately, for some reason that they are clueless to, Snape has given them assigned seats. Slytherin on the left Gryffindor on the right, and in alphabetical order on both sides. Leaving Harry alone and Draco next to Pansy.
"At least I have you to talk to, he's all alone down there," Draco muttered to her in class.
"No talking!" Snape bellowed as they worked on the latest potion, though it was kind of a daze for everyone in the class. Nobody liked potions anymore at all.
Before Draco could leave Snape had grabbed his arm again.
Probably for another beating, Draco thought and winced.
Harry strode over and stood beside him, obviously letting no one near his beautiful bird.
"Out Potter, or it's detention."
Harry looked at Draco sympathetically and Draco nodded at him half smiling.
"It's going to be okay," he whispered and squeezed his hand before walking out of the classroom and heading for Transfiguration.
"So, you're still disobeying me, this simply won't do. I think it's time for another punishment before your next class."
"Okay," Draco said nonchalantly. After all it's what he deserves.
Snape looked at him confused for a split second and then handed him the quill that both Harry and Draco had to use before.
"You know what to write," Snape ordered and then sat down to do paper work
Draco took a deep breath and then winced as he wrote, "I will not misbehave, I will not misbehave, I will not misbehave..." The blood leaving his hand will probably stain his book bag, but he didn't care. After all this is what he deserves.
"Stop you stupid boy!" Snape looked at the dangerous amounts of blood leaving his hand. He didn't think Draco would write that much, but he had managed to fill a whole roll and a half of parchment.
"Sorry sir," he said using the Episkey to clean up the blood, but the scar would still be there. He sighed as a thought hit his head, what if Harry doesn't want to hold my hand anymore? Yes he has the same scar, but his was for no good reason. After all this is what I deserve.
"I deserve so much better than you! Don't you see that?! Hell, I used to say you deserve better than Potter, but now I think the Golden Boy deserves better than you!"
"You're dismissed," Snape waved his hand in dismissal agitation still lacing his voice from his blow up.
"I'm sorry," Draco muttered under his breath hanging his head in shame.
Snape simply gawked at him, completely baffled.
"I know that you deserve better, you always have. I understand if you want to disown me, I won't have to be your problem anymore. I don't understand how people even care for me. First I was a bully, then a death eater, now I'm a good for nothing godson. You deserve so much better," he choked a single tear strolling down his cheek, "I'm not perfect. And that's what you deserve, you're a great teacher, and you were always an amazing father figure to me!" He finally raised his head and took his wand out and slit a cut on his other hand, "After all it's what I deserve," he said almost mechanically before running out the door to his next class.
Draco walked out of the room watching as his scar faded since today was Monday. He was invincible, and he didn't know why but he decided to skip his next class and go out to the new tree, him and Harry had found. He took a place up on one of the branches and glared at his hand. He grabbed his wand and slit his hand again, some blood came out but in the end it faded away. He deserved this, he needed this to stay. He disappointed the only Father he really had. He kept slicing his hand over and over, till he felt sick over the loss of blood. Yet the hand healed over and over. Draco continued, there was no pain so it didn't really bother him. Soon Draco started to fall asleep. Draco forced himself to walk farther into the woods and farther he went. Soon he was a good distance away from Hogwarts and he collapsed to the ground, his body too tired to continue. Tears rolled down his face. Nobody deserved him, and he deserved nobody. He fell asleep exhausted and upset.
